Trouble Trying to Change Front Struts/Springs

Any help/Ideas would be appreciated... I'm trying to installl new struts & springs on 2005 Mazda 6s. I got to where I'm removing, trying, the upper nut of Front Stabilizer control link. This spins but has a Hex center in the bolt which I needs to be held (5mm Hex), while trying to loosen the bolt. Will as my luck has it, the center hex of the bolt stripped. So, do I weld the hex socket to this and try to loosen the nut or just cut off the bolts and put in a brand new link?? The other side is also frozen, but I have not worked on that, other than to determine the bolt spins while trying to loosen the nut. A I tried a spray loosener, but that did not help. A friend told me to pour brake fluid on the nut/bolt and in a couple hours it will unlock the rusted nut/bolt. Any other options suggested would be appreciated.

Just do yourself a favor and replace both sway bar links, if they do come loose and you reuse them they will end up making noise and you will end up replacing them anyways. If you do replace the links easist way I found is to take a vice grip pliers around the rubber portion clamping on the inner metal part and if you have an impact just zip off the nut, or if all else fails just cut the damn thing off.
