Would think they would have better things to do...but hell, income is income...and you were "technically" breaking a traffic law...Can't use your lights or horn for fun....only for emergencies...
HA I wish the po po was that strick down here with the high beam laws.
There's a bunch of a$$holes who drive with their high beams on.
Headlights are there to see and to be seen. I turn them on every time I'm in the car. It's a habit, really, but not one I really feel the need to break. I might wear them out a bit faster, but on cloudy days, in the rain, in the fog, people can see me. Everyone thinks running lights are sufficient - they aren't. Following behind someone in a dark car who has left their headlights off because it's not before dawn or after dusk in the middle of a rain storm makes it hard to see them, and it's frustrating.Crazy thing... aren't most cars wired so that the high beams only come on when the low beams have been turned on? For instance, you can flash the high beams without low beams on, but the high beams can't be turned on permanently without the low beams on? If so, that means people have turned on their low beams, in the middle of a sunny day, then also turned on the high beams... sheesh!

Sure it's a waste on a sunny day, but I'd rather burn out a bulb or two than forget to turn my lights on one day when I need them and get rear ended or worse because someone can't see me.
