Thinking of turbocharging your P5? Here's a guide for getting started...

Yes that is what I was talking about. When he started saying sensor rather than MAF, I thought he meant the IAT sensor. lol.

d'oh lol, nah I was saying 'MAF sensor' hahaha

you would either leave the IAT in the intake tube, or you can leave it dangling in the engine bay...I just leave mine resting by the battery box and have no trouble with it whatsoever, but if you have the ability to do run it back into the intake tubing

you could also get a tight gromet installed in your coldpipe and put it in there, however you may have issues with it popping out on occassion under boost if it's not a tight enough fit and it could create a boost leak

I'm keeping it in the intake location. I think I'm set, everything you mentioned in the one post answered all my questions that I basically already knew the answer for. lol. Just wanted clarification. I'm ready to do this! lol

awesome find! thanks for the link

brian_mp5t has such an awesome setup

very nice! i had both links subscribed too. I'd like to upgrade to these in future and get rid of oem feed lines. not a big deal at moment

I'm not sure the exact size, but if you go to your local autozone they carry both in stock and you should be able to get the right size just by looking at it

my recommendation with that is just go to autozone...they sell a 'value pack' box of vacuum-T's that you should keep in your car at all times...you will never know when you need it and it's served me well

plus it's not expensive...and you can get the vacuum line by the foot for cheap as well haha
(and you don't have to pay to ship it)

Autozone is where I got my vacuum hose when I redid the line to my BOV. I wasn't sure on size so he brought me out fuel lines from 1/4" down. Not sure the size I ended up getting. If you don't have your bov installed yet just take it in with you for fitment. I grabbed 5' of vac hose and have a couple feet left over to replace a couple other small lines.

Yea, thats what i thought. Ive pretty much done everything i can to get more power outta my MP5 except for turbo-ing it. i just dont have that much money right now but i still want more power! Lol

I can't find information on the msp AC condensor that people ocassionaly mention that you need to use the msp smic. Is this the condensor fan? I already have the msp rad, fans and smic what else do I need?

if you wish to run the msp smic you will need the msp a/c condensor and the condensor to dryer a/c line...the msp condensor is shorter in length to accomodate for the extra thick smic that mounts next to the radiator

not really, but maybe I can explain it a little better

basically the msp uses a radiator that is shorter in length than the n/a radiator...the smic is placed next to the radiator to extend the length to the n/a radiator's length

the radiator is ~1 inch thick...the smic is about 3-4 inches thick (or more)...the smic sits flush in line with the radiator on the fan side and the excess thickness goes into the bumper by about an inch or so

the a/c condenser in the n/a car is basically flush against the radiator...I mean there is pretty much less than a quarter of an inch between them....the n/a a/c condenser is also about the same length as the radiator...as a result the n/a a/c condenser hits the smic

the msp has a shorter a/c condenser that accomodates for this...the line between the a/c compressor and the condenser are the same, however the line from the condenser to the dryer are not
