all of the cops i know are great people. same goes for most of the ones in my area. as long as you're not doing anything they would need to be an asshole about

If you get a ticket for breaking the law and getting caught deal with it, you broke the law and you have to pay for it. Do you get targeted more when you have a highly visible car or a deck out one, why yes you do because your car draws attention. It's also a statistic that younger drivers get in to more accidents than 30-40 year old people and they also are the majority of people who drive modified cars, especially imports.
I've been at both ends of the spectrum and got more than my fair share of tickets when I was younger, 14 moving violations before I was 18 yrs. old, and nor haven't had a ticket in over 4 years as I now drive a boring SUV to haul the family around in.
In none of these situations have I thought the cop was an asshole, hippocriticle some times yes, but they are really just doing their job. I've actually made a lot of money of a few of them that have pulled me over, especially when I was still doing car stereo installs. Hell, I once pulled in three install jobs all in the $3-5,000 after getting pulled over for a noise violation, which I sure as hell deserved as I was rattle shop front window on main street. Did I get pissed about the ticket, no I deserved it because I was breaking the law. I just paid the fine and went on with my life.

He then told me my exhaust is illegal and I told him it wasnt (Mazdaspeed). So he looked at the front of my car, "no licence plate." "Nope" I say to him.
"Do you have your licence with you?" He says.
I pulled out my DL and gave it to him and then took out my Marine Corp ID and showed that to him and asked if he needed it as well.
He looked at it and says, "Ohh, no I dont need it. I'll be right back, im just going to give you a warning."
No fix it ticket or anything. (thumb)

There are good cops and bad cops, I've been pulled over 4x in the past 2 years and I have gotten 1 ticket. The 3 times I will admit I did wrong and deserved a ticket if written, but the 1 time I was on cruise control, foot off the pedal, I get pulled over and written a ticket for 8 over when I was doing 2-3 over. It would have been way out of the way to go back to argue the ticket in court so I just paid it off. BTW, always be curteous and kind, you'll get away with more than you know. That 1 cop just happened to want to give me a ticket from the very first time he saw me, if I argued with him, I would have gotten a ticket for no front license plate.
Cops are cool until you give them a reason to pull you over, just remember that.

yeah i've gotten myself out of a few tickets... but then again i've also had 12 and been dropped by 1 insurance company already needless to say my insurance cost as much as my car payment would be if it wasn't payed off already.

The real problem is that they don't base their actions regarding ticket or no ticket on how unsafe the violation you committed was - instead they base it on the mood they're in and how likely they THINK you are to commit a future violation. So moral of story - all pigs are retarded. Anyway, I hand them to him and he asks "will your lisense come back valid when I run it?" WHAT THE CRAP!? What kind of question is that? If you suspect something, y not just run the thing lmao. Anyway, gets his fat ass back in the car and runs the lisense, etc, comes back to the car and says "did you know that your temporary tags expire tomorrow?" (he had no was of seeing the date when I passed by him, he was a good ways off the road). I said "Yes, I'm going to the tag office tomorrow afternoon." He says he just wanted to let me know, and make sure I got it taken care of lol. Dick.

I have only been pulled over once in this, no ticket
My last two tickets were in my friends gay ass white Jetta (from Wendover NV gambling) and with Jeph's car from AZ to Utah. Both were 10 mph over tickets. Wierd I guess.

i have my dislikes for officers but i know they are just doing their job. i know i get profiled and pulled over more due to what i drive, if i cared about that i would have bought a mini van. i get annoyed when i am being respectful (like i always am with cops) and i admit i am wrong and they dont just stop with the initial ticket they look really close at my car. I.E. driving home from a car show in idaho i didnt put my front plate back on my car because i lost one of the two screws that bolts the bracket to the bottom of my lip. i explain this to the officer and he call me a liar since he can't see any holes. i tell him where they r and politly tell him i can show him and the plate which was in my bag. he says no and goes back to his car. then he comes to my window with a 303 dollar ticket. 101 for no front plate,101 for a tinted liscence plate cover, and 101 for tinted taillights. all should have been fix it tickets and were fixed the next morning. but since i would have had to drive 6 hours to the court to fight them i eneded up just paying the fine. it is s*** like that that annoys me.
