The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

there is some rust bubbling on the bottom of the doors and the tailgate and the rear quarters look like they have already been repaired once. BUT had it on the lift before i bought it and everything looked great underneath, coated brake lines, newer suspension, new brake pads and rotors, ujoints, and no sign of any leaking from the transfer case, trans, oil pan or rear end. its not a looker but its very mechanically sound, itll do for a couple years haha

A DD doesn't have to be clean, right?

Ummm, what? The TPMS system is done through special air valves. How would they communicate through the ABS sensors, silly?

ps- Happy Birthday, Larry. haha

pss- congrats on the truck, MonkeyAss. Yeeeee-haw!

Newer cars are through a sensor mounted to the rim or at the valve. Some older cars used the ABS to calc the difference in wheel speed between tires to determine if one is flat or not.

Welcome to 2014.....

"The system monitors the tire pressures indirectly using the data sent from the ABS wheel speed sensors."

None of my wheels have TPMS. I don't mind the light on the dash.

Although, every time I'm driving near Lauri or Anthony's 2013's's, my light goes off lol.

**** the USDOT, as they now require it on all cars

They are pushing to have mandatory backup cameras on all cars... It failed once, but is back again.

When did we, as a nation, become such bad drivers that we need lane departure warning, blind spot warning, self parking, help in stopping, auto (and self) cruise control, and a back up camera?

When the culture shifted cars to a disposable item, people lost respect for them.

As soon as people decided it was OK to text, read the newspaper, do their makeup, shave their beards, while driving

Yeah and I see people with earplugs in while driving and call it "Hands Free"...... They can't hear my horn when they are sitting at a green light for 30+ secs and then give me the finger or mean mug me later...

I don't mind them on the speed. Then again my back is so ****** up, that I gangsta lean the seat and just sit up away from the headrest when driving normally. It does tend to drive me a little crazy when the seat back is straight and I have a helmet on during autox, though. But I only autox twice a year for the discount, so it's not a deal breaker

And nearly a debate here as well. lol

Thanks Evan.
