The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Just announced is a special weather statement, basically, we are further screwed. More rain, harder than last night

I just heard that this is the 16th straight day that we have had rain. :(

Looks like you moved just in the right time, MokeyAss. Still sucks for the rest of those residents though... My downstairs bathroom ceiling caved in two days ago from a steady drip. The landlord knows about it. Should be calling me for repair soon. This is when it's nice to be a renter and not an owner.

still gonna disagree with here, your landlord probably is going to fix that on the cheap. It'll look half-assed and nothing will be done about the mold.

The question came up again on another forum and I simply cannot believe that people still don't get this.

Let's see if KCSR can do better.

"Imagine a plane is sitting on a massive conveyor belt, as wide and as long as a runway. The conveyer belt is designed to exactly match the speed of the wheels, moving in the opposite direction. Can the plane take off?"

NOW....

Let's change up the question a hair.

"Imagine a plane is sitting on a massive conveyor belt, as wide and as long as a runway. The conveyer belt is designed to exactly match the speed of the plane, moving in the opposite direction. Can the plane take off?"

The original question is the first one. The modified question is the second. Are the results of the change the same, or different?

WILL THE ******* PLANE FLY?!

The answers are hilarious

I don't see any answers though...

I do but I don't want to spend the money on it. Thats why I've been putting it off. Why is it different from you to me?

Not sure. Apparently the 2006 MS6 is a little different than the 2007 (i tried to install my JBR boost tubes and the intercooler tubing to the TB is different. Jake saved the day though). I bought this sensor thinking it was necessary to fix my bucking/hesitation I was having but it turned out to be a dirty cam sensor. Check your cam sensors, Speed guys!

Checking the forums with the part number says it's for an MS3.

Scenario 1: the plane will not fly. In order for the plane to fly the wheels would have to be spinning at 2x the speed it would normally. Since scenario #1 has the wheel speed and treadmill speed locked, the plane is not moving forward. It would not really be possible to recreate this in the real world since the plane would move forward and the wheels would spin faster than the treadmill could move the plane backwards (since the treadmill cannot stop the forward thrust of the plane).
