That's pretty awesome about the runoffs. So now Mid-Ohio has the SCCA runoffs and the NASA championship. How cool is that?

It's been several years since the runoffs have been at Mid Ohio. I remember my dad and I going down for them one year... at least 6 years ago.

They do have them every year. They just moved them from Mid Ohio to Nebraska or some other Midwestern state that no one gives a damn about.

Quite possible. I think it was from Mid Ohio to Nebraska to Wisconsin. Road America would be one helluva badass track for runoffs tho!

2014 will be Laguna Seca and 2015 will be Daytona; both of those are to far for me. I'd like to think the attendance won't drop off being on the coasts bu it will.

For those of you not on Facebook, here is an update on Lauri. Lauri had surgery yesterday and if you are not aware of what she has been facing, here's the skinny. A month ago, Lauri had severe abdominal pain and they found Ovarian Cysts. After a 2nd CT Scan and blood tests they found cancer. She was operated on and the cancer was found in her abdomen, diaphragm and bowel. Her surgeon feels he got all of the cancer and she had a full hysterectomy. She will be in the hospital for 10 days and she will need Chemo as well. She is hanging tough and is very positive and we feel she'll make a full recovery. I will keep you all in the loop as to her progress.

In this video the wheels are spinning at a greater speed than the conveyor belt (it is still moving forward and creating thrust). Scenario 1 says that the wheels are moving at the same speed as the conveyor in opposite directions, therefore the plane is not moving forward and subsequently creating 0 lift.

Ugh, not the plane/conveyor belt thing again. No matter what a conveyor belt is doing the plane will take off. The easiest way I can explain it is a wind tunnel. We've all seen videos/pictures of wings and miniature airplanes lift off in a wind tunnel even though stationary.
