It was cheap because it was used, but it was a 3 bumper from a lower trim level. It didn't look out of place.

Just saw a motorcyle cop on ridge rd near snow leaning out around a building and taking radar like he was playing paintball or something lol.

Busy weekend. Exam in my morning class tomorrow, washing the car, meet, then valet at tangiers at night. 2 projects to finish on sunday.

But yeah, I couldn't imagine spending that much money on a used car either. Though it would be sweet to have a $38k car that would smoke tons of new cars that cost twice as much. Super cars just don't do anything for me, I prefer a sport compact with $20k of mods that would smoke a super car. To me, that's much more impressive.

Jon, did you get the trans shifting smoothly again?

I've got the extension housing on again and installed the correct lower bushing but the shifter is still really sloppy. It goes into and out of gear really nicely but I'm missing this little bushing that fits around the pivot ball at the end of the shifter. I forgot that part had been completely destroyed in this transmission. I've ordered a delrin replacement as you can get the OEM piece by itself. With that in everything should be just fine. Until that goes in I'm not touching reverse or 5th.

Regarding the RX-7 I really dislike the front end. For some reason I hate FMIC's on RX-7. There's so much room to do a good v-mount setup so why not do it. Also, for as much work was put in it the engine bay wiring is pretty messy. I love the cheap, reclining "racing seats" too.

Define "smoke." Straight-line speed? Maybe. Either way you're not going to find any econo-box with $20k invested in it that has the same combination of speed, handling, comfort, and luxury of a supercar.
