The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

How was the autocross, Peaches? Sorry I didn't make it out. But I haz new car. :)

Larry I have two tires 205/40 from the p5. You can have them for the price of my next check at our next winking lizard meet. Whenever we do it.

I can't stand running, but I don't know many other cardio exercises. Biking is nice, but kind of a pain to load up and head to a towpath or trail.

Waiting for Will to chime in and tell us how the Tough Mudder went for him!! haha

Tons of fun. I'm sporting some ridiculous bruises and I'm sore in places I didn't know could be sore...

It was 48 degrees when we started at 8 in the morning on Saturday. So of course the 2nd thing we did about 1.5 miles in was jump in a dumpster full of ice water:

Oh and this is what it looked like:

It was warm:

Climb over random mounds of sandy top soil:

Yellow wires will randomly shock you:

Some rings over more icy green water:

More electrified yellow wires to run through right at the finish:

Overall it was ridiculously fun. The people doing it all helped each other out with everything and gave you that little bit of extra motivation when you needed it.

I so wanted to do that and totally forgot that it was in the spring and not the fall. There is always the KY event I guess. Looked like a blast.

Yep it was super fun. I'm definitely doing the Ohio event next year so let me know if you guys want to get a team together.

Maybe you need to upgrade the fluid and the brake lines in the car.

already have willwood 570 on it, i think there is still some air in the system, I want to bleed it a few more times to try and get it out. There was something really weird though, and I think I've mentioned this before. Using the power bleeder there was fluid coming out of the rears as it should, but nothing out of the fronts. I can only get fluid out of the front if I pump the pedal. I'm gonna send an email out to Keith at FM about it, unless you think Jay Andrew might be a better person to ask about it. Reason I think it's air is because they work fine when I pump them once or twice.

I'd like to figure this out and not have to pay the stealership $100 for them to bleed the system for me and maybe tell me if there's something else wrong in the brake system.

If you want to try all new calipers I have an extra set (rotors, pads, everything you need) from my 91. You could just throw some cheaper fluid in there too if you are going to keep bleeding the brakes a bunch of times.

What about your lines? Have they ever been replaced?

Jay knows his stuff when it comes tro brakes and al of the systems. Shoot him an e mail and he will have answers for you.

try wheel medic. They're off 71 towards the north side

Hey Nate, I have the plates and two boxes of silverware for you from yesterday. Don't know when you can meet so I can drop them off to you.

I should be able to work on the MSP weather permitting this sunday. YOu can bring it over then if you're not working. How late is the service department open on Thursday or Friday night? Can always swing up there so they can listen to the speaker.

everything is stock, rotors, lines, pads, bleeder valve. Replacing everything to troubleshoot might be a good option, don't want to go through all that just yet though. Thanks for the offer, I'll keep it in mind.

I sent both an email, Keith already responded saying it's air in the lines and that I need to keep bleeding them, he's not sure about the power bleeder but it might be the ABS unit not letting the fluid go though.

I'm thinking about installing speed bleeders and keep trying: bleed, drive, trigger ABS, bleed, repeat. I'd rather not pay the stealership, maybe use that for new pads instead.
