I believe they were Turbo 4.3's.
Ahhh, 280 hp & 350 tq GM probably should've tried those in the camaro but I doubt that would've gone over well. I can already hear the redneck asking where's the v8?

Normally we wholesale them because of their issues. I see all types of vehicles and those are usually the trade-ins that end with a list of problems. The only other vehicle that gives us headaches are Jaguars.
I think they're junk vehicles. Hell, I had a former GM lobbyist as a customer last month and even he admitted they were junk.

There's nothing I hate more than driving an hour home doing the speed limit and not seeing ONE cop the entire way. Guaranteed if I was trying to set a personal record I would have seen one. Or two...
Yep theyput the 4.9 turbo in the indy pace car editions in 1980. My grandparents have one. White with a red bird and matching interior w/ T-tops. Nothing like a undersized turbo with a motor that was over emissioned with low hp and tq. What can I say though, my 79 TA only came with 220hp and I think 240tq from the factory and weighs almost a rv. All show and no go, but it looks sick on the street and everyone thinks it's fast. NOT! Stil fun to drive and cruise around in.Different strokes for different folks.
Closest they came was the Turbo 6 out of the Grand National they put in Firebirds for a special edition. Love that motor!!
Different strokes for different folks.
??glad you live in OH

no radar detector?
Speaking of that, I can't get the one I bought from you to stay on the windshield. Is there a proper way to prep the suction cups with rubbing alcohol or something? Or maybe the glass is too cold in the winter? It keeps falling off.
