The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I believe they were Turbo 4.3's.

Ahhh, 280 hp & 350 tq GM probably should've tried those in the camaro but I doubt that would've gone over well. I can already hear the redneck asking where's the v8?

the 91 Camaro RS had 140hp & 180tq and the z28 230hp & 300tq

Back in the 80's GM put a 2.5l in a Camaro. I worked with a girl that bought one. All she would say was "well it's still a Camaro".

There's nothing I hate more than driving an hour home doing the speed limit and not seeing ONE cop the entire way. Guaranteed if I was trying to set a personal record I would have seen one. Or two...

Normally we wholesale them because of their issues. I see all types of vehicles and those are usually the trade-ins that end with a list of problems. The only other vehicle that gives us headaches are Jaguars.

I think they're junk vehicles. Hell, I had a former GM lobbyist as a customer last month and even he admitted they were junk.

Different strokes for different folks. :)

Yep theyput the 4.9 turbo in the indy pace car editions in 1980. My grandparents have one. White with a red bird and matching interior w/ T-tops. Nothing like a undersized turbo with a motor that was over emissioned with low hp and tq. What can I say though, my 79 TA only came with 220hp and I think 240tq from the factory and weighs almost a rv. All show and no go, but it looks sick on the street and everyone thinks it's fast. NOT! Stil fun to drive and cruise around in.

Speaking of that, I can't get the one I bought from you to stay on the windshield. Is there a proper way to prep the suction cups with rubbing alcohol or something? Or maybe the glass is too cold in the winter? It keeps falling off.

yeah, that also happened to me. make sure the glass and the cup are clean, and put a little of saliva on the cup (no joke)

I need to get another one...

It needs some things here and there, but overall, I'm pretty pumped about it! Main thing is, it needs a 100 point detail job. There's wax residue everywhere...absolutely everywhere. The interior needs a real good scrub too. It's in good shape though, and will look like brand new when I'm done with it! The driver side all weather OEM floor mat is worn though in a few spots, so that's not been too effective in keeping the crap off the carpet. lol And a few times now, there's been a weird grind after startup? Almost like hitting the key when the car is already running, a starter type grind.

looks in great shape! congrats on your second wagon purchase!
