The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Indeed! Just don't fark it up when she says "AJ, your car is kinda loud... " and you slam on the brakes and say "GTFO, woman.". Hahaha! That might be a deal breaker for both of you. Compromise is key. Or something like that. I don't know, I'm not married yet so i can't talk.

lol i asked if she has ever ridden in a modified car and she said no and then i turned on the sc and boosted down 8 mile and she was like "omg that was awesome!" and shes the only person to ride in my car who didnt b**** about the coilovers haha.

*sigh* One girl rode in my car and complained that it was so low, said another boy's stock focus (actually his mom's) was better because it was easier to get into.

"Seeee ya!"

you get it.

she like my 14k/12k k sports :) thats what made me like her

a lot has been said since I was last on...

AJ - if you have a kid, your gonna have girl (where is the pink font option?). My priorities used to be my car, then it became my fiance, and now it's going to be my family. I had the same attitude until I fell in love but that wouldn't have happened if she didn't do things like go to car meets and Mid-Ohio.
Wes - any girl that likes a Focus that isn't an RS or a new ST isn't sane (girls are just crazy anyway)
Amaff - well said on the second post.

how's everyone's x-mas shopping going?

So, Nate and I are doing it wrong then?

There's no right or wrong way here...it just means you have more money to blow on stuff, or less bills than us. Congrats cool guy! :)
+1
I wouldn't change having my daughter for anything. I don't have tons to blow on my car, because I have priorities and spend it where it matters.

I got all mine done last night except for little stocking stuffers

All of ours is done...but I'm thinking I might grab something small for the wife, so she can have something to unwrap under the tree. Every year since we've been together, she's gotten me an engraved ornament from Things Remembered. Then she gets me slippers and a few other small things.

I usually get her/us something big around the holidays though, and that's good enough. lol Bought a 42" LCD TV for the bedroom this year, as well as a makeup vanity for her, both as a part of cleaning out the room we're going to use for the baby.

I for one really enjoyed prepping Andrews room. Painting the walls, new curtains, assembling the crib, I can't describe the feeling it gave me to work in his room. When we bought our house there was a hand painted Winnie the Pooh mural on one of the walls. At that time we were not thinking about having a child, but didn't have the heart to paint over it and now am glad we didn't because it gave us a good theme for the room. As far as gifts between Jen and I, we decided we gave eachother the best gift already. Other than that we only really have like 5 more gifts for the rest of our families.

I played it safe and got Amber a maternity massage package at a spa. She won't let me get the 70" flat screen at sam's

lolol. im kinda mad i did my shopping in michigan though. i went to somerset mall (idk if you guys know about it) but its a huge mall and everything is about 20-25% more expensive their. ugh

I'm pretty pumped to get the room ready for the baby too. Our 3rd bedroom is on the small side, as well as all the closets upstairs, so we've been using it as a big changing room. It was a kid's room before though, blue and green with a jungle animal boarder through the middle of the room separating the two colors. We're just doing white and whatever gender specific color we decide on. Need to find out what we're having before we get started though.

Also need to get Wes' truck done so I can get my scrilla and buy the furniture!

Christmas shopping was done last week, like Evan #1 said, gotta love the Amazon Prime, big savings and free two day shipping! As far as the issue cars over women, I never have, nor will I ever put a inanimate object over a person. I am fortunate that I have a wife that shares my interests and encourages to keep doin', what I am doin'. Funny, I have always been that way, material things can always be replaced, finding a soul mate, is not easily replaced. Funny, if more people put as much effort into their relationships as they do money into their cars, maybe the world would be a better place. People will bust their asses to find the best deal possible to get a house, a car, a deal here, a deal there, but they don't event put forth one scintilla of that effort into their relationships! Ok, off the soap box and back to our regularly scheduled programming!
