how's everyone's x-mas shopping going?
we've been done, wrapped and under the tree since thanksgiving. hell, we've already had our first of three christmas's (in-laws last weekend, my parents saturday, ours sunday)

I'm moving into the office here at our shop. Another bump up in pay and I get to sit on my ass and basically do data entry for orders. Then Wes is going to start here Jan 9th in the shop, should be a hoot around here. :)

not really, we're receiving tons of applications for several positions but they like to give preference to people referred by current employees since it's worked out well most of the time. What positions are you guys looking for?

is anybody here a .NET developer looking for new opportunities in the Cleveland area? Our company is looking for developers, if so let me know

I'd be interested to take a look at the details of the positions that your company has, shoot me a PM with the details.

Pablo, glad the meat worked out RIGHT for you!! I'm sure you will enjoy it. One day we'll have to get a taste of it ...

The hell is a .NET developer?

That's got LULZ written all over it! Glad they finally hired him. He's probably pumped to have some STEADY hours, instead of the wacky schedule he's on now.

i need to find something in Columbus. I don't think it's going to happen with Huntington, getting a call every 2 weeks to see if I'm still interested and that they'll hire me soon is getting a little ridiculous.

I've been thinking about a new direction in life too, I don't think my Air Traffic Controller plan is going to happen. Or at least, I'm tired of being in limbo waiting for it TO happen. I need a backup plan, 'cause I HATE working on cars for a living, and having to put up with a few more years of this would devastate me. (that's how long it's looking like it's going to take for ATC to pan out)

it's like in high school with the girl you wanted to sleep with keeps toying with you.

Third time's the charm, eh? :D

Which one? There were only several..

individual who programs in .NET (microsoft programming language)

.Net is the framework, C#/VB/ASP would be the language ;) Yeah I'm one of those computer nerd people. :D

I normally dread the "What do you do?" question.

Control system engineers, Chem / Mech-E's for the process departments, technical designers in our graphics departments. We're hurting.

gimme a break, I'm not a developer. I'm teaching myself HTML and just started to learn apple programming since they signed me up to be a developer in order to download beta software to test, so I thought might as well since they're paying for it

There's your problem.

it's a good option for the back end system, especially since we've been incorporating Azure into it (Will, if you have experience with Azure it would be a big plus) but we also deal with apple, android and blackberry

sounds tempting, especially since it most likely would mean more money to help me get rid of my ******* debt... but I like what I do (for a change), it'll be hard to find another place like this
