The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

Where have you been Jon? Are you joining us for Mid-Ohio in April? I added your name to the list as a mybe for HPDE or Hyperdrive. We're up to 21 so far...
Been busy with the holidays and work/school stuff. It's hard to get back into the forum rhythm after being away for 3+ weeks.

I really want to go to Mid-Ohio for HPDE, but I'm already finding myself having to pick and choose events this year. VIR in February, Mid-Ohio in April and The Mitty in May and I have less vacation this year than last year.

What's up, Jon?

At least you've got your priorities right with what little vacation time you do have you'll be spending it at tracks. ;)

got some more goodies today! got an AEM wideband and matching boost gauge and a harness for wiring the haltech to make it plug and play. got my work schedule for next week and once again no hours = no money so the last little bits have to wait

Let us know if you need anything, we'll add you to the MItty List, just get me yout t-shirt size. You know how Team Ohio rolls!

Well, stopped by Big 3 to check out the progress on Spicy and let's just say, I was surprised. Rick did a helluva job with the new piping, front mount intercooler! the welds we perfect and consitent, the new slim line fans were mathced perfectly and he did not have to cut any supports to get the FMIC to fit. He did have to trim a bit of the bumper but nothing structually. The car is going on the dyno tomorrow for tuning withthe SS SFC, so we'll have some numbers and video tomorrow. Big 3 will aslo become a Tech Center for NASA Great Lakes too, so you can have the guys tech your car before heading to Mid-Ohio. If you need fab work or just general repair, check these guys out, they have excellent pricing labor!

well... just finished the first day of my second job. it whooped my ass but i made a bunch of money haha

figured id let the ohio peeps know that my appearances at events/meets might be kind of scarce this year but on the good side, i should be able to pay of Whitney by the end of the year just with the money from this second job :D

oh and in sad news, the MS Acc. open mouth grill met its demise this weekend, the screws rattled loose and it fell off while i was driving, it pulled over to run back and get it and in the process of flagging down the gentlemen approaching in his car so that i could run to grab the grill... well i pointed to the grill, looked at him and guestured a stop motion, he looked at me, looked at the grill and proceeded to swerve into and run over the grill... i honestly felt sick to my stomach and wished i had something heavy to throw through the assholes windshield, stock grill is back on and its looking unlikely ill try to find another ms acc. grill since they are too steep to buy a second one :(

(God I hope someone gets this....)

If you gotta ask you probably can't afford it. Just watched that yeasterday. Great movie. So who is working under which bridge?

I'm whoring this post out everywhere, so sorry....

I've hit a slight roadbump. After installing the PTP pill, OCC, and boost gauge, my garage smells like gasoline. I did not work on the car in my garage, nor is anything leaking... One of the OCC hoses has a crease as if it is collapsing a bit. The car runs fine, with maybe slight hesitation between 3000-3700 rpms. My first tank of fuel after resetting the ECU was horrendous, but I thought that was normal--it always has been in my case. Any help with why my garage smells would be wonderful. Thanks guys!
