The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

anyone in the canton area have a protege i could take a look at? this is going to sound retarded but i dont remember how the motormount in the front is supposed to go on.

I live about 40 mintues north of Canton in Cuyahoga Falls if you want to stop by?

I drove to Dayton today to buy MagnumP5's wheels, had lunch with a friend and drove back. about 7 hours of driving. Ohio drivers SUCK! I had to pass 6 women on the right because they were driving 70mph in the high speed lane. Ugh. But the wheels were so worth it. Now I'm fixing the two rust spots with bondo. That stuff sets fast!

my camaro is the only "legal" car i own, they wont do anything about tint.. unless you piss em off by doing something stupid.. for some reason i think its 60-65% though..

I want my RX-7 damnit! I finally get to see it the weekend after next :)

Been looking into autox. Looks like my first few mods are immediately going to throw me into street prepared, LOL. Damn 245-series tires...

It very well may be 60-65%. I really don't know. I just remember the guy that did my tint saying that 50% is legal. That was 3 years ago so I may be wrong.

D'oh! That sucks. My MSM is currently in the class called "You don't have a chance in hell."

It's the wheels and tires I'm getting that are killing me. The RX-7 is considered a "sports car" so for me to remain in STS2 I'd have to run 225-series or lower tires and run 7-inch-wide wheels. It just sucks because the four-seatr guys can run 245+ series tires in STX and STU but there's no provision for the two-seaters...

Any chance you can just go into Street Mod 2? That's where I am.

In our area, SM2 is pretty competetive even though there's 4 regular cars that show up with a few drivers, and mine once in a while. Of course, they're running R-comps which is a big "**** you" to me with street tires.

50% in front I believe. I have 35% front 15% rear and haven't been bothered by anyone in 3 years.

Yeah, you're right, Fish. 50% in the front is as dark as you can legally go and the rear can be whatever you like.

I got my P5 tinted a couple months ago and wanted to be legal with 50% in the front and 15% in the back and the guy at the shop said 50% isn't even worth tinting so he talked me into 35% front and 15% in the back. I really like it a lot. It's not too dark at night where you can't see out the windows and keeps the car suprisingly cool inthe summer when the windows are up. Plus it makes the car look good too, I'll be honest. heh-heh

yeah dude, where the hell you been?

Sorry bro, been working on my bike and taking that class to get my license and such, in PA.

I'll have more feel time after july 15th. (thats the goal to be done with my bike)

On another note, I just entered my car in ROTM for kicks. Check it out and vote for me if you think its worthy.

Word. Will do. I was gonna do mine, but I don't wanna go up against my bro.

w00t! Ordered new wheels fror the RX-7 today! Enkei RPF1's again (what can I say, I love these wheels). 16x8 +32 mm - that's one inch smaller in diameter, one inch larger in width and +13 mm of offset compared to the ones on my old P5. All that and only about .5 lbs heavier to boot, but cheaper!
