The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I'd help you out since we're friends. But my services don't come along with the vinyl for just any regular Joe. haha.

You can stop by and check it out Friday before Menchies if you like. And absolutely no pressure to buy. :)

I'd be interested to see another attempt at this vinyl installation.

I could just donate a roll of vinyl. It's just not specifically vehicle wrapping vinyl haha.

Just plasti-dip what you can't cover with the vinyl

just found out I get paid per mile I drive at work, I think its 55 cents. **** yeah! that should be another 1000 plus in my pocket. time for coilovers!

So curiosity got the best of me and i took some measurements:
Front doors would need about 20.5 square feet of vinyl total
Rear doors 17.5 sq ft total
Hood about 40 sq ft
Front quarters before cutting out the arches 18 sq ft total
Rear 1/4 before cutting out the arches 32 sq ft total
Hatch 36 sq feet.

Thats most of the vinyl there (164sq ft). I would still need more for roof, bumpers, pillars, spoiler, mirrors etc.
Hmm...

talk to simon noitalay on facebook about it, if you need to but I did in the past and he said never even consider starting a wrap project with less than 300 sq ft and that's cutting it thin. you WILL **** up and need a lot more than you think

All this talk about tv shows makes me miss my cable and internet. But to answer the question I use to watch:
Top Gear America
Top Gear UK?
Lizard Lick Towing
Raw and Smackdown
NCIS
NCIS LA
Fast and Loud
Duck Dynasty

And a bunch of other shows my wife couldn't stand. Half the time I DVRd my shows and watch them when she Wasnt around or sleeping.

S0 anyone interested in some satin white 3M vinyl? I've got 5' x ~40' left in my garage after I gave up and dipped my car. I'm looking for $250 for it. I bought it for $400 off of MSF. New it's about $550.

It's just sitting rolled up in the box in the corner of my garage.

well that is tempting... if i were in a position to buy right now i would, whitney could use a bit of a change up and matte white would be the perfect change up LOL, sadly im broke as hell from replacing both CV axle shafts 2 weekends ago

It would help a lot if the kl swap threads had at least some hints as to where to even start with the wiring. Most of the posts about wiring are something like, "I dread wiring this p.o.s", "I can't figure out the effing wiring", "my buddy stopped by and cured the wiring problems, thanks again (friends name here)". Just sayin.

Well that's exactly how it went down with my first swap. "I hate this wiring. I'm so frustrated. Peaches stopped by and wired it up for me.". haha

That wasn't completly directed at you. None of the threads have much about the wiring. I can see where a person could get pissed off quickly though. Do a s*** load of research and then go to the garage with all that new found knowledge only to find out the person that posted it was a psyco glue sniffer. Now the dome light won't turn off.
