The Ohio Auto-X and Track Event chat thread

Yes, that pricing for 3 days. In the past it has been 4 - 30 minute sessions per day. You will also have to add $20 for not being a PCA member.

Given your limited track experience I would very strongly recommend getting an instructor. The instructors are great with NNJR and it's well worth your money to get one in the car with you.
Plus, there is a very good chance that they won't let you run without one anyways. Just something to consider.
Gotcha, Yeah I was just using that as an example. I would probably get one. I'm so excited to see what the car is able to do next season as well as what I can do

Just signed up for Mid Ohio on June 2 with Autointerest, since income from the part time keeps going down I don't know if I'll be able to make it to Watkins Glen. Things should go much better with the MSM and the feedback I got from last year.

Is it just not as busy downtown as it has been in the past or what?

Yeah, pretty slow. So slow in fact, that this week I was only scheduled 2 days instead of the usual 3. Also, people are not tipping as much. Don't know if I should stick with it or find another part time, but that didn't go very well before.

You'll get tipped more when people have that extra tax money in their pocket. Been there don that. I just hope to make it to one Mid-Ohio event.

Just removed the back seats and all the hadware yesterday. I should be under 2,500lbs now at race weight without me in it. Hoping to be close to 2,500lbs race weight with me in it before the season starts.

Don't know about that, we see lots of people paying $800 for dinner, demanding a $7 refund for parking and then either tipping $1 or nothing. Very few are nice, and actually tip more when they witness what I just described but still doesn't even out.

Just in case anyone is interested in running @ Road America...fast fun and long!

Thats what I was thinking, would definitely have to trailer the car. But looks like a sweet track to go to

Especially for all your horsepowers.

It's on my short list of tracks to go to, but I'd go up there with NASA or PCA and do a 2-3 day event.

for sure. scared to break it haha. still looking for a miata to take over the neon dd duty and autox

Builds big bad car.

Doesn't use it because afraid to break it.

Makes sense. :-P

Haha I'll +1 it as its true. Whatever, what I wanted to do. Feel like a track day far away would be hard on the ms3 but autox I don't feel like would be fun in the ms3 because of the size and power band of the turbo I have on it now.

Why would a track day far away blow your motor but a track day at Mid-O/PittRace not? ;)

You kids and your silly big turbo's...

Well, just think of it this way. A highway pull (which is all you silly big turbo guys build for anyway) is going to be the same stress as accelerating out of a corner at any track. If it can hold up to a dick swinging contest, you'll be set for anything else you throw at it.
