this may be a repost but what do you guys think of the new supra? I found this pic and I must say it's got me interested...the front end is interesting, not sure exactly how that's gonna look in person...

yeah me neither, from what it looks like, they are really big projectors that are recessed into the body...

The front has kind of a heritage look to it. Like the old 70's Toyotas. Not really feeling it though.

yup...they're going w/ the retro 3000GT look up front...i like the rear. it kinda reminds me of an aston martin tho...i dislike it when some cars look the same from some certain angle (like the camry and kia rio's taillights look the same as the protege's)...yeah. i'd love a supra tho

Actually, not sure about the engine, but it says that their "target is the Nissan 350Z".

I guess they are rolling it out to compete with the Nissan.......

Yup, all of the original Japanese "Super Cars" (the Supra, 300ZX, 3000GT, and RX-7) were all cancelled within a few years of one another. Now it appears they will all return with in a few years of each other. I'm just hoping Mazda isn't counting on a NA RX-8 to fight this the new generation of competitors. Well, mabey with a 3 rotor.

looks nice from the side and rear ,not sure about the front yet. its so hard to tell with the flat pics in a mag to see how it will really look

side view definitely has the Aston Martin look, and I think that the RX-7 will be coming back w/ a turboed version of the Renesis rotary w/ about 300 HP. Also, it's not gonna be based on the RX-8, it should be a new platform. (I've read this is several publications in their rumor mills)

engine options for the new supra will be a naturally aspirated inline 6 or a naturally aspirated V8

I've heard the same about the RX-7 returning. Also, I'm not ready to judge the car on looks on those computer images but I am willing to bet that once seen in person, it will look hot. I love Supras and you just cant beat Toyota reliability. I'm sure it will be a sought after car.
