Chris, those numbers sound promising. Did they figure a way around the fuel cut? I'm sure we'd all love to hear how they did it.

honestly if I was a mod I'd ban you both for 72 hours.

I'm curious as to how late chriss shop is working on the ride. So excited! I'm proud to say I'm directly associated with the reason that car is running well.

Also, jcgemt2003, some of your comments are very offensive, please tone down the anger, were all working towards the same goal

I said nothing that was offensive to you or anyone else just you know who. So mind your buisness.

Chris is if your already making 300 at 12psi you should definatly be able to make the 400whp mark.

been eagerly awaiting results from this, glad the tuners finally finishing things up. are they taking baby steps up from 12, or was that just where they started?


..... just seems like theres a bunch of bitching, when it's a car getting tuned at a shop that has nothing to do with anyone here....why all the bitching?

....one question laloosh, why is a trap speed better than a dyno? i don't think he said his dyno made his better than anyone? do shops do "strip tuning" now, all i know is dyno tuning? i'll be lucky to get my car to the strip once in the next 2 years, sure as hell doesn't mean it's slow. just seems like theres a bunch of bitching, when it's a car getting tuned at a shop that has nothing to do with anyone here....why all the bitching?


Read up on load dynos. Load changes from a dyno to waht is actually happening on the street. EVERY good tuner street tunes the car AFTER geting it in the ballpark on the dyno.

If he had a 3 it would probably be raping all by now but it isn't it's a 6 it's a luxury car. It takes a lot of power to get AWD moving in the top end they move out in the 8th and take alot more to keep accelerating through the 1/4. Hell the AMS car only hits 168 in the 1/4 at 8.56 they hit the speed fast and it stays there.

wheel horsepower is wheel horsepower. It doesnt matter if its going to 1 wheel, 2 wheels, 4 wheels. Its a measure, a 330whp awd speed 6 will pull the same way form 80 roll as a 330whp speed 6 with the awd disabled.
 
I never denied that but the car has to work harder to move 4 wheels versus 2 and that is the simple truth of the matter.

yea i know, but its still the same power. So who give a hell if its awd or fwd or rwd. It doesnt matter. His car trapped higher on the stock turbo stock downpipe stock 2nd cat. Tell me, as a person who actually works on cars, that sounds normal to you? Big turbo, full 3 inch tbe, 18psi and a tune, trapping lower? No something is not right.

If the AWD was disabled though, and everything else held constant, it wouldn't be putting 330 hp to the wheels.

who gives a ****!? omg where do you people come from. I said a 330awhp spee6 will be just as fast a a 330whp speed6. Power is power, it doesnt matter how its put down to the ground if traction is not an issue.
 
What? Dude if I my car was front whee drive I would be making more than 350whp. Drivetrain loss on fwd is different than awd.

That's a hypothetical situation that would never occur. Don't get your panties in a bundle. You can't just "disable" AWD, and mysteriously make the exact same power to the wheels.

actually, you can, read up on a test the subi guys did after disconnectiong their diffs. Cars made 2 more whp
 
That's a symetrical awd system. A little bit different. You can't just assume the same results.

i think it would be clearer if say an SRT 4 (with plenty of traction) has 330whp and a MS6 with 330whp would be dead even in a roll race (given the weights of the two vehicles are the same)

True, but you have to realize that not all the pieces of the puzzle are there. On top of that, what were the conditions of the seperate runs? Those are the inconsistancies of going by track times we keep trying to tell you about in just about every thread you try to ruin. He's had the highest horsepower speed 6 on the boards for a long time, in fact, no one's gotten close to it until Chris here is about to. JC got that with stock internals too, so he'll still have that record. You can't really do that with a "bad tune" as you so eliquantly put it. You have been running your mouth for pages on end now at anyone who posts. We've been asked to stop bickering, can't you do that for one hour at least? **** man! What crowd did you come from, Hondas or Neons?

Chris, this thread is ******. Sorry for my part in it. Technically the build is done, so the topic is over. I'd start a new "tune a beast" thread with no bs and get the mods to close this one.
