Only if you tell us your suspension setup. :D

Welcome, bud.

haha thanks!

bc coilovers which have plenty of drop left, new endlinks, and the wheels are my all season winter setup (getting new wheels in the spring for summer)

theyre adr 17x7.5 215/50/17

not a huge fan of the tires but the fatness gives me the ride hide and comfort to be able to drive in philly where the roads suck.

summer im looking at 17x8 or 17x9 +45 225/45s

Nice, lookin good, bro. You gonna run 225/45 with a 17x9, if you go that route?

Reading > me.

lol, is it early morning in China?

if i run the 17x9 i might go with 215s just to be safe

i guess it all depends how much money i have this spring my car will finally be paid off this winter so that should be a great feeling lol

my fenders are already rolled so that shouldnt be too much of an issue i really wanna get rota dpt (fake wheels i know)

17x9 with 225/45 would likely have very similar clearance to the fender as 17x8 with 225/45 (w/ a comparable offset). 225/45 (let alone 215/45...) probably isn't too "functional" tho. lol that's a good amount of stretch...

well thats in the future :) right now im functional lol...but id most likely run 225s im all about more tire

Yeah, you're right, it isn't much of a stretch at all. Common tire size on the 15x9 6UL's for Miata owners is 225/45-15.

He said 215 on a 9" wheel. That's below recommended specs, so I'd say that's stretched. 225 on a 9" wheel is the minimum recommended size, so the sidewall would still be well rounded. But you're right, it's not a "good amount of stretch" as I said before. Still stretched in my opinion, tho.

225-series on a 9" wheel isn't a stretch?! I'm running a 225-series on a 8" wheel and I think I'm slightly stretching it. Hell, I plan on running a 245-series tire on a 8" wheel!

question, isn't the offset on a wheel stamped on the inside of it? I'm trying to remember what my setup is. From what I've searched online, it says my wheels are +35...that doesn't sound right to me for some reason...

Lookin' good Asher and welcome!

Your 6 was always clean Nate...BTW what is the offset on those MX-5 wheels?

To be more correct... it's not exactly sidewall height. It is the height, but the number is an aspect ratio of the width. 45% of the 215mm width.

oooooooooooooooo now i get it... thanks everyone... i know ill have questions later on ill be back with more Q.

Thanks! They are +55mm

Ok...same as the 16's and a 1/2 inch wider too.....I <3 my wheels but the high offset and small width, I do not. I've been thinking about spacers but have more important things to throw over $100 at for the moment.
