Yea I understand what they mean, but when people start throwing numbers and specs around, its confusing as hell, at least for me ... I was never a math person

i'm a math person... but it still hurts my brain... specially if they jus say numbers in a certain order and then some crap about rim offset and tire offset or something like that... its hurting again :(

Tire offset? (boom08) lol

Wheel (not rim) offset is just the distance of the center of the wheel from the hub.

^They are talking about tire stretch in that particular instance... 215/40 on 7" wheel would not be stretched and thus be "more square." Surprised talk of anti stretch occurred in slammed thread... Stretching tires is basically required to get "slammed."

ugh,,,the front wheels I put on the S2000 are 8" wide and has a 215 on it....thats too much "stretch" for me... will be going 225

im guessin the 8" is the tire width but wat the hell is the +25 for?

Huh? you talking about evil's post? He said 225 as in tire width, on an 8" wide wheel.

Sounds like you're mixing up tire stretch & wheel offset. Two very different things that are usually discussed together. With a lot of tire stretch, you can reduce wheel offset more due to the increased fender lip clearance from the angle of the tire's sidewall.
