The Faster ,The speed, The Bigger ,THE MESS

that was trippy! 3 reasons that shouldna happend, 1 there driving on the wrong side of the road and has been proven that it is safer on the left side of the car aka right side of the road. 2 never stop for animals. 3 im sure being that its a god dam honda had somin to do with it, anyone hear that vtec kick in, he was pushin it lol

man, i agree.. how did they shot that.... they can do some mad stuff with slow motion cameras and computers..

Wow, those were both crazy videos. Seeing their necks swing whip like that and their heads hit the windows in the second video make me hurt.

Interesting video...is it me or did the girl sitting on the wall look like "Posh" Spice? It's either her or someone who strongly resembles her.

i read your comments before watching the vid, i through it would be worse.

as long as you guys dont overtake then everythings kool then. speed on!

partly, i understand the point, the situation just seems slightly over stretched and exaggerated. Was he racing the other car? or did he just over-take them? b/c whenever i have to over take someone you better believe im full throttle (within reason), the on-coming traffic lane is not somewhere I want spend time in.

That actually disturbed me. And will ACTUALLY make me speed less. what a good message. I just thought about how my girlfriend could never live on if that happened to me, or vice versa. Being pinned by the dead body of your dearest loved one in th emiddle of a romantic moment, and having your legs crushed at the same time? That actually sickens me to think of. I keep hearing her screaming............

if i was her and saw that i would have fell back and pulled him over the wall while doing so.

it might just be me but i would see that happening and i would obviously be cautious of it coming down the road. but i was just brought up to be aware of my surrounding at all times

Yeah, still.......... that video was in slow motion, and you aren't always in the best state of mind when things are all so sudden.

On a lighter note, the 2nd one about seatbelts didn't seem as strong to me. Still pretty graphic, but all I could think about was how the German speaking paramedic looks like the guy from the Vee Dub commercials. Was it that guy?

Wow. That gave me chills. That's the kind of commercial that needs to be played here in the states post 9P so the 13+ yo can see it. Somehow I don't think it would make it past the network censors. It's raw and graphic, but still doesn't hold a candle to what I've seen land in the ER. I don't necessarily subscribe to the motto that speed kills, but I do feel that the results of reckless driving do ... that comercial sends a powerful message.

I agree because I see it all the time in the field

I was just on a fatality last week where this 17yo kid with his 7yo F cousin was driving way too fast for the roads (45mph and he was going 70+mph) he lost control around a curve and spun out into the other lane striking a 71yo F in a Mazda MPV head on with minimal braking from either car. We had to cut out all 3 patients because there was so much damage they were all trapped. The girl had major lower limb injuries as well as the kid, they were both flown to children's. We started CPR on the elderly woman and got pulses back but she coded again in the helicopter and was pronounced shortly after.

All of that could of been avoided had he not been driving so fast. We've had at least 4 fatalities in the last 6 months in our area due to people driving too fast.

Pictures speak louder than works so here's another one due to someone going too fast, all 3 passengers died either on scene or shortly after. I took us 2.5 hours to cut them out, thats how crushed it was.

Sorry, I'll get off my soap box.

(boom01) ICU at an LA county hospital. I know that the vid in this thread doesn't involve driving under the influence, but what I'm going to share is relevant. my friend's dad is a retired LAFD fire Cap. When he got his drivers licence (many years back), he pulled him aside and said "I could give you a big speech on not drinking and driving, but I thought I'd show you some of the end results ..." He pulled out a personal scrapbook of accident photos, and lets just say that it has kept him an the straight and narrow to this day ...

Um, yeah took me about a minute to realize the cab in that pic was actually with the vehicle on the right originally thought it was attached to the yellow truck.
