The BEGI Turbo Kits are here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am giving my car to Corky Bell sometime in the next 2-4 weeks. He and Bill Cartel are all but ready for the process to be started. My Mp3 has 6700 miles and is ready for power!!!!!!! We will probably be running around 8 psi in my car, but I'll keep everyone posted. Corky is accepting deposits for the kits and two people have already given their money$$$$. By giving a deposit, you are gauranteed a price of $2950.00. After the kit has been produced, the price will probably go up somewhat. Also, if you give a deposit to Corky and decide later that you don't want the kit, he has informed me that he will give a 100% refund. This is one hell of a deal if you ask me! Contact Corky directly at Bell Engineering (830)438-2890.

being one of the peeps with the deposit down.... can u please take yer car to mr bell ASAP :D

i wanted to lend my car, but its not like i have a 2nd ride, and i have different schedule everyday due to college and work... and there was no way i could make it for 8 to 10 weeks without my car, i could help for maximum 2 weeks...

What will corky be using for fuel managment on th turbo kits? Cant use fuel pressure regulators and fuel pump because we have a returnless fuel line?
Intersting to see what corky comes up with

By the way he won't even cash your deposit untill he send you the kit. What a cool guy. I know becuase I am 1 of the 2. I forgot to ask him if the engine could take a 55 shot of Zex with the turbo though. Or if the turbo's boost can be easily turned up for the track.

kflyfshr7, where asre u taking your car to get it installed??? i live about 45mins from lancaster. just passed by there today on my way home from pennstate. how much would it cost to get it installed?? how hard is it to do ur self???

paul, if kfly is giving his car to mr bell to work on it, i guess that means he will have it installed by the time mr bell is done.

I have an important question? Does Mr. Bell have a lay-a-way option? I don't have 3g's on me but I want to get in on this if it is a full system he is offering, meaning he will include everything needed to get the turbo installed and running. Maybe I can make a good sized Down payment? Please see what you can do, and get back to me. Thx

i dunno about the lay away thing, u may want to call him about that, but seems like u have plenty of time to save if u want!, and thats because when i last talked to mr bell last friday, he told me hes still waiting on a car and probably start in about 3 weeks, that means around February the 8th, and from that date count 8 to 10 weeks for release...

as far as complete turbo system, well, i asked all that came to my mind, and it comes with everything, including intercooler and gauges. Also, an interesting thing about the BOV (Blow off Valve), he told me the system will indeed have one, and gave me all this explanation on the function of the BOV in a turbo system, an anyway, my question was if it was loud or not, and something about the position of the BOV meaned no sound, i mean, no rice sound :D , i was kinda sad about this, but looking at the good way, that means the system would be a sleeper which is good in any stoplight :)

RAZHAEL....On the topic of the BOV. You will be able to upgrade it and use any type you wish. Corky will probably be using a recirculating blow off valve that will dump the air back into the turbo to keep it spooled up. But again you can upgrade and use any unit you want just by getting a universal flange and welding it on the intercooler pipe.

are you guys installing these kits on your own or will you be having some one else do it. How hard is it to install urself, if not how much will it cost?? also how reliable are these turbos. if i dump 3g's i wont have a dime for any maintance. probally just gonna stay naturally aspired. although it would be nice to have a TURBO!!!

the main reason im going for this kit is that i will have mr bell installing it for me, because i do know very little about any kind of engine work unless its oil change :)

I am having a guy in Drakut Mass do the install for me. Form everything Iwas told the kit is complete the only thing you need to get is a 2 1/2" eghuast and the rest bolts on in about 10 hours with hand tools. My only concern is what is the kit going to do about the computer and sensors and how long the tuning time will be if any.

Hey people,

I called Mr. Bell yesterday becuase I had some of these very same questions for something I'm working on.

Anyway, he is using a recirculating blow off valve becuase its more efficient.

He said he was hoping to have a car with in the next 3-4 weeks to do the inital testing on, then it would be about another 90 to 100 days to get everything right. Bill Cardell from Flyin' Miata will be doing the fuel system stuff. He also said he would like to reproduce everything on a different car before final production starts.

Corky Bell is pretty cool guy. It sounds like the kit is going to be a pretty nice set-up at pretty decent price if you put in for it before production.

there we go with mr bell... everytime he says 3 to 4 weeks... oh well... actually thats good for me now that i just made a big purchase of a new pc, need time to save again!

The kit is supposed to make about 210 hp at about 7 psi...That's what he said anyway.

0-60 times etc. can be guesstimated from there but aren't terribly accurate. However, it'll give you a ballpark figure.

well... just got off the phone talking to mr bell and he received a call from our friend kfly last night telling him that hes now spending money in his honey moon instead of the turbo! (good choice dood :D ! )
anyway, thats understanding but he commented me theres somebody else in Austin, TX that also offered to give his car, and once again he asked me... now, my only problem is that this is my only car since i cannot really rely on my wifes.... so i dunno who this Austin, TX person could be, please reply if u r out there!

He told me that if i give him my car he would start as soon as he get it!! :(

ps. right now im making some calls trying to find somebody to rent me a car while i get this done... (friends of course)
