Fiery Crash Kills 5 Young Men

I have no sympathy - 18 year old and his buddies in his daddy's M5, driving at 3am on an airport runway, being stupid.

It's a shame some people have no respect for powerful automobiles, or perhaps lack the common sense necessary to compute "1000+ lb of metal & glass injected with fuel exceeding speeds of 120mph" and "driving recklessly could lead to injury/death".

Ironically, he had posted the day before that it was "his" car and he asked this forum how to make it faster. I can't say the forum posters didn't warn him - in fact, it seems several predicted the outcome.
Rough shift-M mode @ M5 Board Forums

Not sure if this belongs here, but maybe discuss?

A few days before it happened he came on the M5 boards and asked why his M5 (with 1100 miles on the odo) was shifting rough with all the settings maxed out. One guy actually told him to be careful, because if you crash in a big way you're going to be all over the news. Sure enough the kid crashes two or three days later when he flies through the air for 200 feet and into some trees after running out of runway with 4 of his friends in the car.

This was all over the vews here in florida a few days ago, my thoughts go out to those families.

Double postage...This is also under Forums and young don't mix...or somehthing...Should merge these, cause this is new info, the other one didn't have...

Yeah...it sucks, but was bound to happen...

do you have that link? I'll merge them into one...

Sorry for the double post, I should have done a better search.

I bet that kid wished he didn't know what it felt like to make that car "really fly" as he's careening towards a tree.. Ironic as well, he was at an airport.. Lawl.

My favorite part is that in a diagram posted on a news site, they felt the need to add and point out that John Travolta's home was right next to the airport. Cause that's SO relevant.
