Tail LED turning bulbs

I see whats going on. The circled things must be your HID's?!!
I have aftermarket HID, and they dont have the part that keeps them automatically level. Well, looks like you have to take your case out. But even that shouldnt be too bad. I havent checked how many bolts are holding it, but I think they are all accessible without removing the bumper?

I got my front signal bulbs replaced in my MS3 with HIDs. This is a real exercise in dexterity and patience. You can see the sockets but only barely touch them with your fingers. I managed to release the sockets with a long plastic tool. Then fished the loose socket with a "grabber on a stick" tool to get it within reach. After replacing the bulbs with Sylvania SilverStar 1157AST bulbs, I manouvered the bulbs and sockets back into place with the grabber and turned them in with the plastic tool. It is a nice improvement. They look blue when off, amber when on. I did manage to drop the bulb on the right side and it went down a black hole, but I retrieved it when working on the fog lights (more on that later).
I'm glad you like it, I was amazed how nice it looked after I replaced my front signals.
I am surprised that you were able to use a tool to loosen the sockets, mine were already hard enough to get out with just my hands!!
I know how it feels to drop bulbs 'places'!!!
When I installed my rear LED's, I dropped the bulb in the case, had to take the rear tail light out, to get the bulb out of there!

I am working on a different approach. I am 98% certain that 3357/3457 AST Sylvania Silverstar Signal Bulbs can be made to work in the rear. I made a test with some similar bulbs and they work OK with a little tweaking. I have a set on the way and will let you know how they work.

Since the LED's are only pointing straight, none of the light is actually reflected in the tail light itself. The light output is actually less than with stock bulbs.
I learned the hard way and had to exchange mine for the "7440 bulb base with 15 LED's 9 pointing straight and 6 pointing at an angle."
Those work really well, and give you full reflection. Not too much brighter than stock, but nice and clear now.
I also installed the "31mm Festoon 6 LED Bulb" & "194 1 LED Super Bright Wedge Bulb"
The look amazing and fill your interior with a nice HID looking light. Defiantly a good investment. Plus, they are very easy to install.

I too swapped out the stock bulbs for some LEDS, I bought ones that were pointing every which way the first time though, they look great but our turn signals dont work with just the Leds, The brakes do though! I love the instant on and off look of Leds, thats the main reason I got my brake lights, and the turn signals to get rid of the amber look when off, I havent bought the load stabilizers for mine yet though, I just took them out for the time being until its not so damn cold outside to mess with everything! Next will be smoked rear reflectors to complete the look! There pricey though
I also put some super bright red Leds in the interior spot lights and have only those come on with the doors open, looks really nice.

I love that instant on/off look as well.
As for LEDs not working as signal replacements, only the back works, I dont think the front would work well either.
I received my load stabalizers yesterday. Planning on installing them on the weekend. And it will be COLD!!!

I solved my problem
After much screwing around trying to bodge some lights that weren't designed for the sockets and failing, I found the correct bulbs. They are Philips SilverVision WY21W bulbs, not available in the US. I found this place in England and ordered some.

It took four days, free shipping. Not cheap though, even with the free shipping.
Definitely cleans up the look.
