I was just wondering if taking off the strut tower bar and front and rear sway bars would help the car run a faster 1/4 mile. I know if I took the front sway bar off my truck it was wort a tenth or so. I'm gonna be the slowest guy in my group this weekend, but want any advantage I can get. I wll also be taking out the subs, spare tire, etc. Any ideas on weight reduction or how I can go faster is appreciated.

Rip out everything you said, i wouldn't mess with the sway/strut bars.
You can rip out all your interior except the drivers seat.
Run with 1/4 tank of gas.

does the base of the back seat unbolt or does it clip in like the BMW's?

Can someone tell me how to take out the sub, and the backseat..and anything else i can do for weight reduction? Im not trying to strip the car by anymeans..but the sub and all the things i dont use can go. (glare)

in the 03.5 the sub has four either screws or bolts, I can't remember which, holding it in place. They connect the support brackets to the box, there are 2 on each side. After you remove them, unhook everything from the amp, but make sure to take the fuse out for the amp first. The fus is located very close to the battery in it's own box, just like an aftermarket stereo would be hooked up. After everything's unhooked, slide the box out, it took me about 20 minutes to take it out.
