Suspension Question

My front driver side suspension is starting to make a funny noise when I am going around a curve. It also does it when I hit a bump! I am not exactly sure what I need to do. I think that I bought a lemon so I am trying to get all the kinks worked out! Thanks for the help!

What kind of noise, like a clunk? If so, check your sway bar link on that side. My Protege eats through them like crazy.

I think I may be having the same problem. Every little bump I hit, I hear a weird low pitched kind of noise. When I brought it into my mechanic he said it was some type of bar (not sure what one, but sway bar sounds right), and said it wasn't too important and that I could wait until my next oil change to get it fixed. So if it is the same problem then you should be fine for the time being. I would still take it in though, if I were you.

Agree with above sway bar links are very common on this car they tend to eat them up, specially if you drive..."aggressive"...just go buy some lifetime warranty ones and put em on takes about 15-20 minutes.

If by sway bar links you mean end links, buy moog endlinks for a 2002 ford escape v6. They are 4x the size of stock, fit like a glove, cheap, and have grease fittings. Another thing I'd check is wheel bearings.
