Hey all, I'm a new member to this site, and I did read through all the forums but couldn't find help for the problem I'm having. Most have reported that their sunroofs won't open, or is half way open mine is different.

I have a sunroof that i left overnight open (oops ) and now i can't get it to close at all when i push the buttons it makes a snapping/grinding sound, it looks like it's trying to move the glass at an angle. A friend said possibly the motor is shot etc, i know that sunroofs cost a lot to fix, my concern is i need to get it closed and I don't know what steps to take. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get up there and at least get it in the closed position?

I've tried to research this but again most of the research I have found is with people who are halfway closed/halfway open/or can't open it. Thanks again.

New motor is about $350. Other scenario would be the tracks are bent and that would be about $1000 parts and labor. Best bet is to try to muscle it back into place and leave it until you can fix it yourself with the parts.

yeah i tried it won't budge...so i am taking it to firestone in the morning see if they can try to at least pry it closed for now as i can't afford much. damn

So I took the car to firestone they were able to get it closed, they also did a full inspection on my car and i got 2 new tires they charged a total of $354. My car is in excellent shape, no alignment needed, nothing major needed so that's great to hear :)
