The extended reach made the car run terrible. The current spark plugs runs fine for me and a bunch of other people. Just about everyone boosting above stock in sd is using it and I have not heard of anyone say there is a problem. Your more than welcome to try driving my car, no misfiring, no detonation.

you could use boat sparkplugs and they'd work if they'd fit.... doesnt mean they're the right plugs.
there are people whose LSD's are snapping yet there are some whose arent.... doesnt mean there isnt an issue with the LSD.

Its a $2.50 part, do what you want with your $2.50. Simple fact is bkr7es are flawed in use with our car and in reality shouldnt be viewed as the safety net for those boosting above stock.

Prove that they are flawed, they may not have been originally intended for the car but that by no means prove that they are flawed. just because they don't work for you doesn't mean they don't work for other people. I have a car that I running perfectly fine, running 11-12 psi with no detonation or adverse effects. As stated above extended reach did not work for me.

We haven't had a problem with the BKR7E's here. Although I take mine out everynight and put them in liquid nitrogen. Colder the better.
I've been using the NGK part#BKR7E-11's for, 5 month's now with no problem's at all!
this was a part number that i got off of, this site for 1 step colder plug's but their not copper.they are Iridium or platinum(sp) i can't remember which one's they are exactly but, i know they are not copper.
Did i get the wrong part number or what?
I asked the guy at discount auto if these are 1 heat range colder then the stock plug's and, he told me that they are.

I read what you wrote, but your missing the point. If the plugs work better for some people and they do the job that they are suppose to do then its fine. Like I said earlier just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean the rest of us have. Maybe you haven't noticed but your not the center of the universe. The plugs have been working fine for most people. Lets leave it at that. It's not like the design of the regular reach and extended reach is that different.

Im keeping stock plugs because why would you need colder plugs at stock boost? Isnt that going to make you run rich? And if you have other mods that make you run rich you get hesitation right...bogs down? Not sure, just a thought. my buddy installed his and has a rough idle...I still have my plugs that I got from Street Unit but havent put them in yet...
I wish I had a wideband O2 to read how my car reacts to certain mods. If you been on this board long enough you know for some weird reson no MSP are created equally. Some are problematic but I've been one of the few that have been problem free since september.

Fine then, Your more then welcome to check out my car, drive it, and then tell me its wrong. The car will be up at SPD racing all week, you could check it out there.
Its the same plug. Extended reach just extendeds the metal electrode further in the cylinder. The main difference is the ignition point and the direction of the ignition. Standard reach is just set further back, sure standard reach will be effected by carbon deposits faster but its a non-issue since I replace my plugs every 5k miles.
You still have no evidence that the plugs are bad for the car. Look at the amount of people who run the car with no problems. Heres another thing to think about, having the spark plug in the middle of the cylinder will generally require less ignition timing advancement to hit peak cylinder pressure. We already have advance timing, even more so if your flashed, so using an extended reach plug isnt going to make that much of a difference. In a car with higher boost and more retarded timing the use of extended reach would be more critical, but in our situations it really isn't. Like I said earlier the plug might not have been intended for the car, but it works. If you need proof go check it out.
