Stereo system

I am interested in getting a Mazda 6 sports wagon, but one thing i noticed is that there is no defining lines around the stereo to indicate a kit. I have tried searching at scoche and American International but neither of those companies have a kit. I also work at best buy as a mobile installer and none of the stores around me have worked on one yet. Already having a 7 in touch screen my intentions are to add navigation to it. But if i can't change out the stereo i would not be able to use my screen. Does anyone know what you can do about his except bite the bullet?

You can either wait for someone to step up and make on, or try to do it yourself. I have seen posts and pics where others have done so fiberglass work to fabricate one.

I have seen a few guys fabricate their own, or have them custom made. For the ones I have seen, because of the mod, they had to relocate the temp. controls up to the top of the box above the stero unit. Dont know how much that cost but I wouldn't want to spend that much on an aftermarket unit.

I saw a novel variant of a modified dash - a user on 6club and 6tech (xxgreekxx, I think) moved the auto climate controls to the cupholder region, and keeping the air vents in the same place, and soe of the buttons that were under the stock climate control knobs' location, placed a video screen/aftermarket deck in the middle. And replaced the moulding/panel with a black one. Looks awesome! You should be able to find the thread (there) easily enough.

well bro...i have seen a few people whom they did a big mod job. i found out that they are working on a dash kit but it is going to take a while..(about 2 years) or if you know how to do fibergless work, the sky is your limit.......
