Steering wheel wear

Man... the left hand side of my steering wheel is starting to look like s***. All worn out. And at 11 o'clock as well. I guess the sweat on the hands does that? I wonder if it would be a warrantable (word?) thing? I had mazda replace my shift knob once cause the rubber thing around it came loose a bit, and also the metal was showing wear. So I wonder if they'd do the steering wheel.

i just took mine in last week for this...it was covered under warranty & they just re-dye it :)

Wow... just a dye? Even on the black part? I have like little knicks (that's what it looks like) on the black part. I feel funny about taking off the wheel though... with the airbag and all. Would it be safe after they put it on? I just don't want them to **** anything up.

My wheel has a scuff on the gray part....and it looks brown underneath....like I a poo stain or something. Anybody else have this problem? It was actually like that when I got it but never said anything because I didn't notice it right away.(hand)

I have a spot right @ 9 o'clock from my left palm, sucks. I was thinking of hitting the dealer up, my pedals are worn too!

are the pedals covered under warranty too?

should be under warrenty...thats why i drive the way i do bro (3 and 9 o'clock) you know me and my car!!!

lol, wow, i would NEVER expect this to be covered under warranty, wearable parts like that are NEVER covered... i wouldn't complain about pedals not being covered, they get worn out, any pedal will do that, are you going to send a set of sparco pedals back to sparco when they show signs of wear? dont expect to get a new set sent back (lol)... that is cool that they cover the steering wheel though, i guess its an easy enough fix to not be a big deal though...

HAHAH this is kinda funny, 3 hours ago I was just fired. I was the guy that did the re-dying of the steering wheels and fixing car int. I dont have the problem but I will tell all how to prevent it .. use conditioner and keep the wheel clean

I just bought a new wheel instead... ;)
