Don't you think if Honda found out something about a 'VTEC clutch dump' (lol) they'd lower their times on their own site?

Yes, I'm sure your honda forum is totally in a controlled environment away from people who are un-biased about the car. Maybe you should do alittle work on finding out what the words reasearch and fact mean. VTEC cluctch dump, lol. Do you get 95% disability from the government for your mental retardation?

I am amazed by the stupidity spewing from your head. Honda doesn't acknowledge those times because it is very harmfull to the transmition to dump the clutch at 6k rpm. You are just plain dumb. So what are you running, (hah)15.xx? Wow, that's fast! (rofl) (owned)

damn you people are brutal! i really dont care much so dont think im trying to start a war here, but if your s2000 is so great, wtf do you visit this board constantly? you dont see me hanging out at the j-body boards.

You guys realize your arguning about the RX-8 VS S2000 in the mazdaspeed Protege section right?

Time for my saying! (thumb)
And thus another MSP section thread goes flying off the road of "on topic" and rolls 3 times before smashing through the wall of "What you talking about Willis?"

I owned an MP3 and was the third person in the whole US to install a turbo on one. I probably owned, broke, and sold my MP3 before you even knew what a Protege was. I've probably forgoten more about that motor than you will ever know.

your point being? why do you still visit this board? to brag about your car that is 2 tenths of a second faster than the msp?

Because I still like the MP3. It's a great car.

And uh,....you wish the MSP was only 2/10's slower than the S2000. That will only happen in your dreams. Step back down to reality with the rest of us. The MSP runs the 1/4 in 15.1,(rofl) the S2000 can do it in the high 13's.

This may just be my "fuzzy math", but, I count more than 1 second difference there. That's not even a race. That's like 2 bus lengths difference.(rofl)

Ben hows the comptech supercharger systems been for reliabilty?
I have been thinking about getting a TL typeS and slapping on there kit.

1 tenth ~ one car length at 1320
As a matter of fact, I just did the math. The S2000 traps at approximately 99 to 102mph in the 1/4. I'll use 100mph as a round number.

100mi/hr*(5280ft/1mi)*(1hr/60min)*(1min/60sec)=147ft/sec

So the S2000 is traveling at 147ft/sec. It beats the MSP by a little over 1 second.

147ft/sec*(1.1sec)=161ft

A school bus is approximately 50ft long? (Unless you are like Flat Black and Matthew and rode the short bus to school) Then it's about 20ft long.

So, that comes to approximately 4 to 5 buslengths. That's a close race. (owned)

But, this still isn't accurate. This would only be accurate if both cars started at an instantaneous velocity of their trap speeds. This is actually a exponential curve, that is much more complicated that just simple multiplication and division.

From what I've read, Vortec is supposed to be better than Comptech. The reason is because Comptech's compressor wheel is maxed out at it's efficiency at the stock boost level of 6psi. If you ever want to get a smaller pulley and raise the boost, it's a mute point because the air temps skyrocket because the compressor wheel is already at it's max.

The Vortec unit is supposed to be efficient up to like 20psi. Comptech actually uses a Novi/Paxton compressor. Just like how Turbonetics and HKS rebadges Garrett turbos.

besides If the average car length is 15' and IF 1tenth = 15' then thats 165 feet.... hmmmmm

Look, i didn't come to this thread to get into an arguement with a high school mentality kid. Flat Black simply stated an obviously wrong statement saying that the MSP can' outrun a 350Z. You have to be seriously stupid to even consider that to be a true statement. I stated that that was wrong, and I wasn't mean about the way I said it either. Then he decides to start vomiting stupidity out of his mouth. That is where this arguement started from.
