Haha. *shrugs* I'm just a girl.
I did reset the ECU and everything is good. Idle had a significant drop.
I don't think I have ever really disconnected the battery while working on those areas, just something I don't think about. Usually all my installs are totally rushed (I know, yell at me..).
I was thinking if I let it run for a minute it'd work itself out but the car was running for a good 10 minutes and the idle was still way up there. I was kinda on the same lines as you were until I realized it wasn't moving. Turn the AC on and off just to toy with it and stuff.
BUT, I can only let it run for so long, let me remind you of the leak and the huge waterfall of gas I was loosing in this whole thing. I can't even begin to explain how it was when I did it last night. Oh man. All over my windshield, just went nuts. My engine also had a horrible shutter to it, not anymore! I think it's good to go this time until I start toying with it again. (Those are going to be the days I'll start wanting to cry again.)
Also, I'm so happy I cleaned everything out..it's nice opening up to a clean interior.
I have one seat in and I'm just not going to bother with the other one right now. I don't let anyone in the car with me so I'm not worried about the passenger seat atm. I'm going to be jumping right back in that area anyway with all the electric goodies so taking out one is better than two.
If anyone has worked in the "cabin" of a Miata they know how it is dealing with a seat right there. You just want to grab it and throw it out. All those weird positions you get in trying to get under the wheel, bah!
I still wub it though..
(I kinda ranted..GOOD ONE!)
