i whould like info on the stand back please... like since our motors are the detuned 2.3 that comes in the ms6 ... will the stand back make it unbottle necked so to speak.. meaning give the true potenial the 2.3 was made for?

i hate how mazda did that

The CX7 engine is not detuned. The CX7 is tuned for more torque at a lower RPM. Different turbo that spools faster.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong here... but the tuning devices for MS3 and MS6 motors had to be developed pretty much independently--the motors are identical, but the ECUs are apparently different enough. If so, I would anticipate the same would be true of the CX-7... in other words, a tuning solution would have to be developed specifically for the CX-7.

there is a full control flash for the cx7 ecu.. is that what you meant?

what he is saying is that since the ecu's behave differently, there are completely different maps for the ms3 and the ms6. if you were to drop a SB into the cx-7, it would theoritically wire up without issue, but the maps would need to be completely done from scratch to avoid exploding your engine.
