sport vs GT

I dont think it would be only 20 bucks more. How can that be 20 bucks more only with APR interest. 20 bucks x 60 payments is only 1200 usd. Not even close to 1750 or 2k. And thats not with the APR interest. So i dont know how can it that be just little. I remember I got quoted with a big difference on monthly between sports and gt.

Yeah you're right, maybe $35-$40 - Worth it for what you get IMO

It was 3k more for a GT at my dealer but this was a base Sport vs. GT with Nav and everything.

If you are leaning towards GT and for that price of the GT. I would open my windows more and head down to Subaru and check out their WRX 2009. Those runs around 26ishK, 265hp car with newly tuned suspension. And most of all AWD. Test drive them and run down some numbers and compare it with MS3. I think its worth the time to compare both.

i bought a sport because the GT has a bunch of stuff i dont need.
LED tailights - dont need
hid lights - dont need
leather seats - they suck in the summer dont need
auto rain wipers - had a car with those before dont need
trip computer - those things arent even very accurate dont need

plus for that 1750 bucks i could go buy wheels, an intake and some other stuff.

I'm happy with the sport version. The only thing I'd rather have is the Xenon headlights. I'm not happy with the stock sport headlights.

Its all a matter of opinion. I have a GT w/ nav but I also got it used for 21k with very low miles.

Personally I would have been upset every time a saw a GT going down the road if I would have went with the sport.

I like the leather, call it cheap if you want, but it looks much better than cloth. It matches the steering wheel and shift boot.

The xenons are great, I hate driving cars that dont have them now. Even though I dont get to see the LED taillights too often they are sexy.

The BOSE system has it's faults but I wouldn't be replacing any speakers regardless of the package I got. I'll spend my money on mods. So a stock upgrade was is nice.

You guys can diss the built in nav all you want, but it works fine and looks so much better than something attached with suction cups to the windshield.

That's just my two cents.

I won't dis the NAV. I just couldn't justify paying the extra money for it. I probably would have gotten the GT from my dealer if they had one w/o NAV on the lot in the color I wanted. $1500-$1750 for leather and HID's and LED tails is reasonable. Add in the NAV and it starts getting a bit pricey.

I knew what I was getting into with the cloth seats. My wife's old 3 had cloth seats, and I found them to be pretty nice.

I was thinking the same thing the OP stated... will I regret it later or not? Besides, at the time, I figured, a limited production car?!(yeah right lol) I'm going all the way mang... I left out the Navi since I have a TOM TOM which is far more superior than the one offered, and its portable.

Go with the GT, you'll be happy in the long run...

+1 all those points. I especially like the MP3 changer. I do wish it had auto-locking and headlights on with the wipers.

I would love AWD esp since winter is just around the corner but like I have been looking at other cars, srt4, friend has a cobalt ss, wrx but like idk i just love the speed, no clue why, l think i am going to hold out for the GT but just so many reason to hold out, like i am on the fence if i want a 4 year car loan or not.... this is so friggin tough....

no my sport doesn't, but the seatbelt squeaks sometimes

honestly the weight is one issue, but more so is the durability of the seat material. also it would drive me crazy to have needless garbage like rain sensing wipers, and automatic headlights. I would expect that in the used market you're going to take a loss on those options, but if they make you happy that shouldn't be a concern though those worn, and cracked seats will be a hard sell if your looking for top dollar.

I got a better deal on the GT (paid like $1400 more than the sport) so it was a no brainier for me. Even if I paid a little more it would still be a deal. I'd go for the GT, you won't be disappointed. The LED tails are sick.

just ordered one

I just put money down on an 09 ms3. i got the black sport with no options. I figured I would save the money on the overpriced options (2k for a nav unit... ha) and eventually buy some aftermarket wheels. And maybe change out the cd player and speakers. You can buy good sounding stuff and a nav system for a lot less than what they charge you for it. Especially if you don't mind doing the work yourself. Now if your leasing, deck it out. You can't change anything you don't like and you have to live with it for 3 years or eat the cost and trade it in.
