it comes apart - sort of - i pulled the front and rear seats out just to make room. lots of twisting tho even once separated. not an easy one man job. learned that the hard way. biggest b**** was that both rear wheels had to come off to get the holes drilled and plates set. with jack stands on loan this sucked

I bet it did....I thought I coud see the release points on the bar..I just wasn't sure if thats what I saw at the top of the loop or not.

That oughtta stiffen the chassis up quite nicely if I do it.

Still wondering why gold? I would have thought orange to match everything else or even a Cusco blue. A real gold plate look would have looked crazy.

Orange and black would have been the obvious choice. I had a hard time straying away form both. When it comes down to it I wanted to introduce a new color. My wife wanted blue but I was thinking less obvious like a bronze or something. I was at the powder coater and saw this gold and liked it. So thats why gold. Visually its going redefine the car. Some will like some wont. Yes gold plated or some sort rip off would have been crazy. If I wanted to put the time into to finishing the roll bar off right, shave down the welds etc, then maybe but for now this will have to do.

Yeah, its been a long time coming. It took two weeks to get my sectional exhaust finished. Now the car is over at the upholstery shop getting both the headliner shaved and pilers wrapped in alcantara like suede. My hope is to be able to install the bar next weekend or the following week.
