I drive a '01 Mazda Protege DX

I have a Kenwood KDC-X469 HU
I just replaced the front speakers with

Pioneer TS-A6880R

I'm looking at getting some rear speakers, but according to Crutchfield, the only ones that fit my car are
Rockford Fosgate FRC4269
JBL GTO 926
Kicker 02K69
Infinity Kappa 692.5i

of these, I suppose the Kickers would be the best.

I don't see why the Pioneer TS-A6990R would not fit.
since they fit in the rear deck and there is nothing below them.

Any 6x9" speaker will fit. Get the speaker that best matches the fronts.

crutch is full of sh!t sometimes I've never heared of ppl having problems... Thatsaid, I have to do my duty and urge you to try to forget about those rears, and use that money for maybe getting an amp for your fronts. WORLDS better sound. rear-deck speakers given equal power will confuse your soundstage. It's a lengthy explanation that I won't bother getting into unless you wanna hear it. But I used to have all sortsa speakers inmy cars, and now I'm essentiallypushing 3, and it's the best sounding I've ever had anything.

fair enough..I will have to play with it..

I just put the speakers in earlier...haven't had time to listen to them much..

I tested them out, to make sure they worked, but that's it so far..
I've got a couple of I think Crappy Subs in a box and a Amp (not hooked up yet)
not sure if they are decent or not....got it from brother in law..not even sure of brand

Yeah according to Crutchfield, a regular head unit won't fit the Protege, yet they still have a kit for it and it all works fine in my car! I am glad you came here to find out the scoop on what fits and what won't.
