BUMP!!! so what is the gap that it needs to be, and whats the best, 2 steps colder, one step colder, or the extended one that fm sells, let me know so that i can buy some from you TerrY or you fm! thanks
Go to any parts store and get a spark plug gapper...it's the distance between two parts on the spark plug, and that distance dictates the behavior of the spark. I'm not an expert on it, but that's the basic idea.
okay...i got the two step colder ones and it was gapped to .32...car ran like s***...misfiring all the time, not getting a good idle, i dont know if it was the plugs or the gapping or something else seriously wrong but compression test showed fine...180 across the whole board...
anyone know what could be wrong? im going with 1 step colder plugs and gapped to .35-.40, i will let you know how it goes
okay, now i got the 1 step colder pre-gapped to the stock spec...which i think is like what....38? it still runs like crap, now im thinking it might be something wrong with the injectors, the coil packs, or something seriously wrong electronically with the car...
could the injectors be stuck wide open? they are stock and the most i have bo0sted was probably a 8 psi spike...would that do it?
