Alright, well thanks to this lasermp5 (http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123666908), I took the liberty to buy my friends used Sparco Harness bar for a 02-06? WRX/STI.

Here is a teaser picture below (taken with camera phone).

Please read the linked thread to see the details on install. You will need longer B-Pillar bolts for the top and bottom belts and it is a TIGHT fit.

Best of all, I can use my harness or regular belt now.

Enjoy.

Mmm got it used for $220. And yes, I can still have people riding in the rear. I have to put my belts back in though haha.

The bar is blocking my blind spot on the left when I turn to look back to change lanes, but nothing serious. It might just be my height haha.

Ah sweet, you made it happen! I just replied to your pm and now I see this. It's great isn't it? Now look what we've started... everyone will be jumping on board soon lol. Congrats again. Catch up soon...

That's when you get E-spec mirrors so you don't have to shoulder check. TheMan has them on his protege. They are curved and give a wider angle.

And thanks for being the first one for the harness bar from Sparco..because now I'm going to get one!! LOL

so there's actually a spot for the vertical support bars to bolt to? or did you have to drill a spot to bolt it in?

No drilling. Just bolt it up. You will need longer bolts though (it was provided with my harness).

Sweet ive been wondering since i had my mp3 if this would work but i havent had the extra cash laying around to make it work, theres ALOT of local suby guys maybe i can pick up a used one cheap.

Sorry..can you still adjust your seatbelts on the B-pillar? Like up and down?

Nope, sorry. You need to push those all the way down. The bar won't fit if it is not on the lowest setting.
