so many questions!

got a protege es 03 like a month ago, and been reading this board non stop.
since i'm new at all this, can anyone answers a few of my Q's
is there a post somewhere telling all about specs of stock protege's engine? 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen, and:
2) what's a mp3, and msp, and what's the deal about spicy ?
i was driving a z24 before and j-body.org was nicely done, esp. the engine specs of every generation, im sure I'm just not searching right, can anyone help me out, i'd like some info about stock engine! thx

and also, how common is it that the abs and brake light come up at the same time ? seems like i'm getting this cel after about 10mins driving around, under 10mins = no cel

I dunno about ABS-equipped cars for sure, but the non-ABS brake light will come on when the pads start to wear down to a certain point and you'll need to top off the fluid.
Of course, you'll want to check your pads, too.
