So I went to the Mitsu dealer to inquire about an Evo...

:
MSP & MS3
I just get done detailing my car on a pretty sunny afternoon when I decide to pull into the local Mitsu dealership and essentially act like I'm rich so I can test drive an Evo. I'll be honest... I could technically "afford" one... but my wife would kill/leave me and I'd definitely be stretching it! Anyway... the sales schmuck didn't have to know that!

So I'm sitting across from a guy that looked exactly like Symanski from Office Space. (the guy who gets hit by a drunk driver at the end) Anyway... he looks out the window and sees my Orange Speed glimmering in the sun. It's the only one in the customer parking lot and, with the angle he was looking at it, you could basically see the entire side of the car. (it looked sweet!) He's like "Whoa!! that's a bright car!! Where's my sunglasses? har har har!!" Ok ok... maybe I'm being a bit hard on the poor guy! I mean, car sales isn't easy! If any of us were to do it for 10 years we'd all look like him too! So let me get to the point of all this...

After he and his sales cronies came out and basically drooled over the car... (none of them even heard of a Speed let alone saw one before- do these guys EVER read ANYHTING???) I hopped in a white Evo and took it for a spin. White is definitely not the color to get with this thing. As good as silver looks... that's how bad white looks! I imagine if there's someone out there who likes white cars, they could score an Evo pretty cheap. (relatively) One of the guys was telling me afterwards they've had the white one for over a month while all the others fly out virtually the second they get em.

The test drive. No breaking news here. The car is absolutely AMAZING!! I mean... as great a value our car is for $20 grand, this thing's essentially the same value wise... for around $30 grand. If you got the dough... definitely the car to get!! (even better than the STI in my oppinon... another car I test drove) They perform relatively the same but... the Lancer looks SO much better!! (in my oppinon at least)

After we crunched some numbers... it's obvious that trading in my MSP for an EVO would be one of the stupidest things I could do. Not only would the payments be like $200 more but... I actually like my car more!! I know I know!! Sounds crazy right??? I like the idea that its' about as rare a car as $20 grand can buy. (new at least) I like the fact that no one ever knows what the hell I'm driving! (mostly everyone knows about the EVO by now... for good reason of course!) Still!! It's cool to know we have incredibely unique cars that were an absolute bargain!!! What other car offers so much overall balance for the price? I'm glad I stopped into the Mitsu dealership today. At first I thought it would be hard to drive my car afterwards... instead, I'm diggin my ride even more than ever!!! L8R

What were they gonna give you for your car. I will have an EVO eventually. A 2004 EVO is in the cards for me. I will be giving my MSP to my brother who is drivin a very old jeep right now. Now the question is Silver or Blue? I love the MSP to death but the EVO is so much easier to mod.

I test drove one and it was a beast. My only complaints were the shifter was notchy and the breaks felt sluggish..but it was awesome. My wife wouldn't let me get it though :(

yeah, I'd pretty much resort to being a mafia hitman to get an EVO.......probably in a year or so.

(sigh)

I had the pleasure of parking by a black evo a couple of nights ago.

I hope he didn't notice the water spots from me drooling on it.

Yes!
