Smoothest MS3 shifter?

Who makes the smoothest MS3 shifter? I`m not asking about how short the throws are, just the best improvement in shift action.

Err, it doesn't get any smoother than the stock shifter. My Cobb STS is pretty close to stock in terms of smoothness after break-in. All aftermarket shifters go for a reduction in throw so they're all going to feel a bit stiffer and notchier than stock. Not too sure what you're really trying to ask TBH.

Me,

I am the smoothest shifter

If you practice real hard, someday you may become second smoothest

If you want smooth shifting the actual shifter isn't going to be the main upgrade to look at. That would be mount and bushings. I have TWM SS, TRZ dogbone mount and bushings. Very solid feel and don't have to babysit the shift to third under wot. Huge upgrade imo.

Okay, so nothing to be gained in shift action by swapping shifters.
Upgrade the fluid (yet to be done), put in solid bushings (done), stiffer rear mount (done) and that is it. The driver update of course, but I`ve been driving a stick for over thirty years: I`m not going to get much better than I am now.

Thanks all.

you could also look into a weighted shift knob. Those are generally for smoothing out the transition or notchyness

The stock shift knob is weighted....the only reason to go aftermarket is for shorter throws IMO. I actually like the feel of the OEM for DD, but the throws are a bit long for me. At some point I will probably try an aftermarket STS just to compare.

Change the fluid. It makes all the difference when it comes to shifting smoothness.(thumb) Just did mine at 30k and I couldn't believe the improvement.

The ratio changing plate mod will help a bit

the weights, I am on the fence about. thats about inertia, and it cuts both ways.

net gain ?? I dunno

I did get my AARP application in the mail last week though

I now get a 25% discount on clutch pedal pressure
