Sillicon IC pipe???

You still have turkey with your Forge? I thought that it eliminated turkey.

It really wasn't that hard at all. Just undo the clamps until they're nice and loose (it's a bit tight with a screw driver especially if you have the stock air box in) and gently pull. I took the intercooler side off first so that I could have a little more leverage when pulling off the turbo side of the pipe. When installing the new pipe make sure you push it all the way down on the turbo and that the clamp is down around the turbo outlet. Voila!

I'll post pics tonight.
 
I am at pretty much stock boost. So the forge unit is pretty quiet to start with. So when I drive at part throttle the forge doesn't really blow off to big and I can still get a lil compressor surge every now and then. Full throttle blasts I get blow off only. I did hack my stock airbox, so I can hear a lot more than folks with a stock intake.
 
yea i tried to remove it and i wasnt as successful as you....maybe ill drive it for a short while, THEN tug on it...
what was the total WITH shipping, so ill know how much to set aside (thumb)

Yeah, my car was still a bit warm from my last drive before I installed it, so that might have helped. I'm in Canada so the costs are probably not going to be the same, plus I had to pay an additional $84 CND for duty, taxes and $#@% brokerage fee to Canadian Customs (also shipped in that package was an AWR front motor mount - hopefully to be installed next weekend).
 
Apply heat with a hair dryer or heat gun. It will loosen the plastic pipe and it will pop off easily. Spray some silicone spray inside the hose if you want it to slide on easier as well.
 
so have you made any more? in specific black, seeing as how that is the ONLY color that would go with my engine bay 'theme'
 
I'm glad to see more people ordering these. It is a great product for the money especially. It has a pretty noticible difference over all. It's much smoother, doesn't expand, and seems to keep it a lot cooler. After driving it pretty hard on the stock pipe it was very hot to the hand, but the Samco pipe is insulated well and the silicone is a large improvment. Now after driving it hard it is still only slightly warm to the touch.

Installation wasn't too hard for Sam and I. In fact we were able to pry the old pipe out without the use of a hair dryer but that would really cut down the install time.

Over all I love it. You can see the pics posted above by Sam. Those are the pics of my engine bay right after it was installed. I would recommend this for anyone no matter how tuned up your car is, you car will not be complete without this pipe, and not to mention Sam's prices are quite reasonable and he is a great guy to work with. Hope you guys enjoy your pipes like I do mine.

I really wished they made the OTHER hose as well. It would make the MAF on the pressure side mod a breeze. Anyways, I just got mine :) See pic.
For the removal of the stocker, I find it easier to drive a bit 'till everything is warm and take it off then! You should wear gloves though!

On a side subject, is there a way to remove the aluminium adapter without ruining everything? I have a 19mm SSQV flange adapter that would nicely fit in there iwithout sticking out much (that BOV is a bit heavy)
 
Pics as promised.

This was my first time driving my usual route to and from work today - what a much better experience since installing this pipe. I really am amazed at what a difference it made (but I don't want to create too much hype...).

is your bpv hose kinked? it seems to look that way....does the silicone ic pipe alter the placement of the bpv or hose? also, is the foil sleeve still needed on the ic pipe?

It's not kinked, but a little flattened. The stock bpv hose is a little long to fit "prefectly" so I did have to angle the bung from the Samco hose downwards to try and compensate for the extra length. However, there is no blockage of any kind. I didn't want to cut my stock bpv hose because I'm trying to keep all my stock parts in order. I will be replacing that hose when I do my next project - stay tuned for it because I think it will be kind of neat.

Edit - I kept the thermal sleeve on the pipe near the turbo to help protect the wires there that go into the header. I would recommend keeping it on when replacing the pipe - there is a lot of heat generated in that area.

Yes, you can pull out the adapter with some force. I placed a clamp on both the Samco hose and the hose to the bpv so that there was tension on both (i.e., the one clamp is on both hoses).

Yeah, it's some 2" (inner diameter) plumbing pipes from Home Depot with a silicone reducing coupler on it to hold it to the stock box (big side of the coupler is on the box). Believe it or not it does help and I'm sure with a hi-flow drop in filter it would be even better. This is just a temporary setup until I get a turkey killing solution in place and can then hook up a better intake system onto the MAF (already have it made and had it on the car, but it made the turkey sound in a very annoying way).
