I've ordered one also a couple of days ago... Can't wait to try it! :D

No! I've ordered it from Vivid Racing (had I known I've would have gone to Sam, well next time!). Mine is BLUE!
BTW, Samco makes rad hoses for Formula 1 teams as well as WRC (dunno if they run silicon hoses for their IC though). So I kinda trust that company! :D

So I installed my Samco silicone turbo-to-intercooler hose this weekend (took all of 15 minutes). Man, I am surprised what a difference it makes. First off, idle is much smoother but more importantly throttle response has greatly increased. I really notice the throttle response when double-clutch down shifting. Before there was always lag when I tapped the gas in neutral which would result in slow shifts - now response is instantaneous. I also notice a difference in overall power delivery with the hose on it is much more direct and smooth (especially on take off). Overall the car just runs better. I would highly recommend this modification.

Now, just a little aside to explain why I think this has made such an improvement. I was very horrified to find that on the stock turbo-to-intercooler pipe the bung for the hose that connects to the bpv is not molded into the tube. Instead there is a hole in the main tube and the bung is merely glued on. Well, when I was disconnecting the bpv hose I noticed that this bung was beginning to separate which was probably causing a leak. By the time I had removed the hose, there was a very large gap between the two pieces. So at the very least, if you are not going to install this hose, then check to see if your bvp bung is attached securely onto your turbo-to-ic pipe (especially if you ever pulled the bpv hose off that bung) and glue/seal it if there is a gap.

Check the area circled in red:

Wow, yeah that leak could have been causing your idle problems. I'd be willing to bet that there a more than a few stock pipes out there that are leaking in one way or another. I'd really like to get some hard pipes, but I'm going to hold out for an FMIC.

Yeah, and that shot wasn't even of my car, it was one I had on file of someone else's setup. If I knew whose car that was, I'd PM him and tell him to check that bung. I'll wager that a lot of cars with aftermarket intakes on them are suffering from this problem due to pulling off the bpv hose.

Can anyone confirm if this muffles the "turkey" or makes it louder?

My car is stock other than this pipe (more mods are in the mail!) and the turkey sounds exactly the same.

Thanks, Velocifero, and thumbs up for the positive feedback. (thumb)

Hey Psyklops, take a couple pics of it installed if you get a chance. I'm sure a lot of people want to see what it looks like in the bay.

Guys how did you remove the stock coupler that connects the BPV. Is that just forced in and you need players?
Do you guys think this will void any warranty?
Will it help with the hesitation?
Thanks for the feedback.

You'll need a set of pliers to undo the spring clamp and then just tug and wiggle the hose (I'm sure we've all had enough practice doing that (yes) ) until it slides off. Don't know about the warranty, but I talked with my dealer and they said they were ok with me doing minor mods to my car (intake, exhuast, etc) and this doesn't harm the car in anyway - in fact it makes it better! Yes, it does help with hesitation but it doesn't eliminate it completely.

yes, definately do this because i am strongly considering doing this with my xmas money!!! one more question, how in the hell did you remove the stock ic pipe??? that thing is a B*TCH to remove...any suggestions/pointers?
Thanks
