How long have the OE brake shoes lasted you guys? I'm doing front pads soon, and just curious if I need to worry about the rear. I've never had a car with drums before. Is there a quick/easy way to inspect them?

They last a darn long time. I'm coming up on 60k and still original shoes, last time measured still like 3/32 at the thinnest part. IIRC they start at 4-5 or so.


Pull the drum and inspect them.
