Selling the MSP

So I think I have officially decided that I am going to sell my MSP. I bought the car about two years ago and it has been a really fun car to drive but I am looking for something a little bit nicer. I do not know my way around a car well enough to mod it myself and don't want to spend the money toward paying someone to install them for me so the car is almost completely stock.

I am going to start looking for a used G35 coupe come spring time. I am a huge fan of the pearl white on that car. Looks damn sexy if you ask me. I am getting married in about a years time and would like to own my "sports" coupe before the whole baby thing starts to come up.

I have not had a chance to test drive the G35 but hopefully will be able to soon (waiting for winter to end). Has anyone made the switch like this before? Any thoughts/impressions on the G35?

G35's are quite nice, my friend is selling one for 10,000 haha, its automatic though, but he is well... "retarted" and the dealer will give him 10,000 for a trade in lol, so thats what hes looking to get for it.

Holy crap, that is a pretty low price for a G35. At least compared to the prices that I have seen.. Where is your friend located? (peep)

man...why don't you hook up with some of your local mazdaforum-ers...They can help you with installs of parts and stuff. At least in Georgia, they are are badass bunch of guys, (especially Scott!) and can help you with damn near everything. There is an expert here for EVERYTHING.

I have thought about doing this, but I dont know if I want to deal with reliability issues due to modding. Plus with this car, from what I have read on here, to do anything worth while, you have to get forged internals.

you live in chi-town and you don't know anybody with knowledge about modding a msp "properly"?

Well I dont live in downtown Chicago. I live pretty far outside actually. And I have yet to meet a person who actually knows anything about the MSP. I am sure there are plenty of people on these boards that can help me out, but I just have not asked.

I can think of ten people in the greater chicago area that know more about the msp than... well... they know alot.

Whereabouts do you live? I have family from Cary (not Gary) all the way down to lombard and all the way over to wrigleyville (and many in between)

Well I live just east of Rockford right now. I take trips toward downtown every once in a while for work.

By no means am I trying to talk you out of selling, well... er- lol actually, lol I suppose I am! But before you definately sell it, atleast know that there are MANY people in the chicagoland area that can be considered "experts" in regards to the msp.

Don't get me wrong, the G35 is a really nice car... with a nice payment and a nice insurance premium to boot. Personally, if I were getting married soon and thinking about kids, the last thing I'd want is a car payment. I would say to keep the msp (or atleast get a four door) and save money for a sports car for your mid life crisis. If you start saving now, you'll be able to buy the sport-ster with cash.
