Seat problem

When I sat on the driver seat today the left side of the seat dropped down a couple inches and is moving up and down very easily like when I have to press the clutch down the left side of the seat moves when i move my leg. Has anyone had a similar problem ? Also does anyone know how to remove the plastic under the seat where the power seat controls are ? I removed all the plastic I could under the seat and can see where the left side is going down vs where the right side doesn't but I can't get to the problem from the front so I need the side piece around the controls removed.

I had a vw that did something similar... dunno if your car and the vw are built the same but the seat frame was broken! You have to buy a new part unless you know how to weld!
