so my friend seafoamed his car and now his cel is flashing.....what do u think? i said change the spark plugs cause they may of been fouled.

I seafoam a lot often and have never had a flashing cel from that or anything else. So imo, its unrelated to the seafoam and directly correlated to a problem with what caused the random misfire detection(flashing cel) to begin with: ie faulty coils, wires and or plugs.

did he seafoam it via gastank or brake booster Vac? I assume it was brake booster. It could have pooled up in one of the runners and maybe just flooded it a bit, causing a misfire?

I would like to agree, and say that it was probably something unrelated to the seafoam. Good luck

yeah dude i have a scanner obd2 if you want to find out what it is? .. you know where i live just give me a call if you need it .

If he takes it to an auto parts store ,they will tell him what the code.

idk why people say this lol. they dont anymore none of them do. well atleast in cali. ive been all over town and none of them read codes anymore

i usually get them to hand the scanner over to me cause i'll walk in there and tell them i believe it is so and so issue that could be throwing a code and i want to double check before purchasing the part. they hand it right over thinking im going to buy the part from them, and usually they are right lol

Code reading from auto parts stores....I run one and it is a royal pan esp since there is usually more than one problem. But on topic. If he had never done anything like that before he may have had a bunch of junk to clean out and might have fouled a plug. usually only see it in seriously dirty motors or with finwire aka platinum and iridium plugs since there is almost no contact surface
