S-Pipe Pictures

ouch - that's news to me. what's the deal with them, they just lose interest in our niche market?
No I think the msp belonged to Ben and he no longer works for them. Im not sure though someone will correct me if im wrong

Yeah, their test bed was Ben's (Sonicracer) car. He no longer works for them, so as far as I have heard they no longer have a test mule for the MSP. In fact, last time I checked Ben was selling his MSP.

they lookin for someone else ;) ...

bah. i just enjoyed having someone else on the market making msp parts. hopefully they'll continue w/ operations.

true.

i could understand 385 for maybe s-pipe/j-pipe combo, or s-pipe/dp combo or something, but 385 just for the replacement s-pipe seems overpriced ... if it makes any difference, the 'powerseries downpipe' from corksport has an estimated price of 170 (according to their website).

And there exhaust is 2.4", which will probably be close to the size of their DP and is much easier to make fit that a 3" pipe.

Who makes the muffler and more importantly who makes the high flow cat? I dont want anything but random tech.

Glad to see that you guys are making this system though cause it looks very sweet :D

Hey guys, Im going to try and also all of your questions as best as I can. The mufflers we use our own patented design that has been developed using technology from our Porsche Race and Street system. If you go on the website www.ghlmotorsports.com you can see the car we sponsor that took 2nd at the 24hrs at Daytona.

Yea I agree. $385 is way too much for just the spipe piece

The $385 price covers just the S pipe. Although its physically not large this is the most labor intensive part of the entire system. Our staff is incredible in both there craftmanship and consistency, once these systems begin reaching customers I am confident that any doubts will be put to rest.

The one on the front page looks bigger than just the s-pipe. Still wondering the components of your exhaust and how they relate to the stock mounting locations. That's my only question.

Btw, the pipe on the first page did look quality.

Thank you for your compliment.

The S pipe (downpipe) connects to 8" of pipe and then to the cat. The s pipe only option will include the 8" of pipe needed to connect to the cat. Im racking my brain trying to think of a way to make it more universal as many of you have other manufacturers systems. If you have suggestions do not hesitate to tell us, you may have the idea we're looking for and we are not to proud to listen.

We can include a cat to fit the 8" after S pipe...pipe..for an additional $100 and my thinking is your after cat system should be relatively easy to mate up to the hi flow cat.

Thats correct, the cat supplied is an OBD II compliant Carsound Cat. We use these cats on everything from Porsche to VW, they work great and dont break the bank. We can substitute a random tech cat in for an addition to the expense, please keep in mind random cats to not meet CARB standards.

After recieving a few phone calls from members of this board I have heard numerous stories of fly by night companies making promises and not delivering. I have also heard stories of delays, bad weather for welding, and weeks with no response. We're based in Az, the weather is great and we weld in doors like any proffesional manufacturer. GHL is not going anywhere, we have gotten our MSprotege.com advertiser information and will soon be on the main page of www.triplezoom.com

Thank you all for your comments, feedback, and interest. I hope to be spending a lot of my time working with you.

the 8" pipe is the 'j-pipe', correct? all straight from the cat (direction going from rear of the car forward) and then an upward bend at the opposite end, and at this curved end is where the s-pipe connects to?

we gotta come up with some better vocab to straighten things out ... maybe the pic on the first page is throwing me off.

I could not agree with you more, its like Alphabet soup trying to describe the parts of this exhaust.

The Downpipe (which is the new name for S pipe ;) ) will be the part in the first pic and then an additional 8" of pipe to connect to the cat. So everything pre cat. As soon as our flange is programmed in the water jet machine I'll build a few and take some detailed off the car pics to avoid further confusion.

I would assume the piece that is $385 is the first picture of the thread.

EDIT: Beaten by the company :)

so this 'downpipe' will NOT work with my Apex 'j-pipe' because the j-pipe has that bend at the end?

on the other hand, this 'downpipe' would work with the corksport power series exhaust becaust it is just a straight pipe?
