RX-8...The most beautiful car ever

It all depends on what you want out of the car. To each their own. As for me, give me track power and track performance only please. I'm no drag racer, if I only have two seats, I don't have to drive when me and co-workers go to lunch or to the gym. It also makes me keep the car clean because even one piece of trash will make it seem like the car is full of trash.

But yeah, you are right, if you need the space, a 2 seater isn't for you. But damn it's fun!

From what I've been reading and hearing, they are not moving as many of them as they would like. Some dealers have actually taken the mark up off and are selling them at MSRP. Now is a great time to buy one of these.

Getting back to what the original topic of this post was (best looking=RX-8)---I king of think the G35 coupe is the sassiest bizznitchy on the road right now. Titanium Gray with 18's and red/black brembo's just can't be touched in the looks dept. (IMHO)

But we're discussing the 30k "range" so I threw it in there.

I have already vowed that a 1-2 yr old G35 coupe will be my next car. That is unless I'm making the money to buy a new one...

Rotary gotta have commitment. Sweet car, and I would love to learn about the car itself. And you know the car is probably easier to maintain since less parts. we're not use to it only cuz we're so used to pistons. I'm willing to take the plunge and learn it.

yuck!! that tail light config so yuck just like the new Z imho. and it's made by a french company (Nissan=Renualt). All these cars look ok, My fav is still 2002 RX7 FD3S with the color that's on my MSP and deadly recaro seats with oh so sweet bbs rims in that oooorgasmic gunmetal shade

I have to agree. I work at the dealer and we carry Mazda, Nissan, Subie, Benz, Porsche yada yada. The new Z car is ugly as FUCCCCCCKK in the front. The Vertical headlights just don't do it and the crooked side markers are bad. I swear we get more people looking at RX-8's than we do 911's, WRX's and Z's combined. Not to mention we just had 3 people trade in their S2000's for qoute 'Something faster'. They went with RX-8's, lol.

2 of the guys in Honda sales have s2000's; a yellow one and a black one. We've taken our red demo RX-8 out to the strip and smoked both these guys. I know its faster.

No you didn't. End of story.

The S2000 is faster than the RX8 period. No if's and's or but's. The S2000 has a faster 0-60, faster 1/4 mile time, and even a faster top speed than the RX8. And I'll mentin that the S2000's 0-60 is as fast as 5.4 seconds. That's more than a half a second faster than the RX8, which is a lifetime in 0-60 standards.

The new RX8 is ugly in my opinion. First of all, it souldn't be a 4 seater. It is WAY too heavy. It's got 250 hp but the S2000 still beats it in every performance catagory. What's the deal? Mazda missed the mark with this one. Maybe they will do better with the 2 seater roadster version.

Oh, and the front end is the ugliest part. The rear looks good though.

Hmmm, they are weighing in at 2900 lbs wet. How is that way too heavy, LOL?

How does the S2000 beat it in "every category"? That I would like to see.

I do road courses all the time, the RX8 is a great balaced RWD car with smooth power. Smooth wins races, not people trying to jerk M3's around the track.

There isn't a catagory where the RX8 performs better than the S2000 in. I'm not trying to take anything away from the RX8, but performance wise, the S2000 is superior to the RX8. The RX8 shouldn't even be compared to the S2000 in performance.
